One feature my family loves about the Nook is that they can loan books to friends for up to 14 days. And, since this is a budget board, I thought I'd see if anyone would want to loan a Nook book or request a Nook book.

Anyone?

Been gettin 95% of my books from the library, it seems that most of the books I actually bought from B&N did not have the LendMe feature.

I'm in a Facebook Group called "I have a Nook and I'm willing to share books". It's an active group.

Come on and join!:thumbsup2

Also be aware that most LendMe books can only be leant out once...just an fyi. :)

I use the nook app but I only have a few books. I joined www.lendink.com and have loaned out one or two books. This site is both for nook and kindle - but you specify which format you want.

I also use the kindle app and seem to do most of my reading with kindle or with public library digital downloads.

i tried this site, and even registered a book, but everything i want to borrow is listed as unlendable. oh well.

Yes - many books are not lendable with nook or kindle. I was able to get one that I wanted that my library didn't have. Fortunately my public library has most of the books I want.

Yup, once ever. Once loaned you can't do it again.

Wow...that's just stupid. If I own a copy of a book, I should be able to loan it to a friend, just like I would with a hard copy book. I'll stick with the library books on my Nook then.

They really need to change the fact you can only lend out once! I just got a Nook so I will join these groups! Thank you!

The major decision point of nook v. kindle for me was the idea of using library books.

We must have a saturated area, because the ebook selection is extremely limited and most titles have waiting lists. I stopped bothering with the library and concentrate only on Nook books. (free only).

The Lend me feature is a nice idea but I haven't really used it.
