Leigh & Chris, 1/3/12. updated 3/3/12 (Disney vendor reviews)

YAY!! another WP/ grand flo bride  Ur invites are amazing :thumbsup2
The invites u sent ur groomsmen made me say "AWwww... :cutie:" I feel the same way about the RSVP's- if ur not going 2 come then just say so! :sad2:
How many guests r u inviting??
Keep the updates coming popcorn::

:) Well since the groom is military the first thing that popped in my head for the groosmen was the old WE WANT YOU posters. I knew there had to be a mickey version out there somewhere.

Originally I only wanted to invite 100 people, but my in-laws kept adding to the list. I told them if it goes over what I can afford they have to help. They've said they will but it still worries me they may back out on said offer.

Everything looks good! I loved the belle dress, it is definitly a princess dress!

So now the cocktail hour is from 6-7pm
The ceremony is at 7:30pm
and the reception from 8:30-12:30am.

:) and I've started to get back some RSVPS. some accepted some declines, but either way just happy to start to get a better look at my numbers

Glad you're getting your RSVPs back!! :dance3:

Oh it's been a LONG week.

Monday- Found out there is no known reason/excuse that my husband hasn't called in over 3 weeks

Tuesday- Car breaks down. $600+ quote for fix. was $103 for diagnostics. That same evening my bridesmaid texts me to say she is moving to London for a job and will not be in the states for my wedding :/

Wednesday- My computer decides to die. That'll be a $150+ fix.

Friday- My older dog (12 yrs old) eats something that causes him to have an upset stomach.

Today: Was up once an hour from 3-8 walking the dog with the upset stomach.

In the midst of all this I really came close to cancelling the wedding. To the point I e-mailed my planner telling her I didn't think this was going to work out. After crunching numbers with my mother we're gonna give it a shot.

Today marks 4 weeks since I've heard from my husband.

RSVPs have stopped coming in. Out of the 40+ I sent I've only gotten 9 back. They're all due in by Oct. 24.

As bad as it sounds I'm ready for Monday. Ready for the start of a new week and hopefully a better one.

I hope next week is better for you. Sorry to hear about all of the challenges. Are you at least able to talk to your husband via email? That has got to be really hard going weeks without hearing from him.

Unfortunately no. I've had zero communication with him. :(

I hope things are going better for you! Weddings can be so stressful and I'm sure having your husband so far out of reach makes this even worse but things have a funny way of working themselves out. Hang in there :)

Oh man.. I'm so sorry to hear about your awful week. :( I hope things get better really really soon. Virtual hugs coming your way!

Thanks for the good vibes.

So after 32 days hubby finally called. There was so much to update him on I'm not even sure if I remembered it all, but he's supposed to call Saturday/Sunday.

He is upset that construction is changing our plans but he's happy we get to still have our dream.

Slowly but surely RSVPs are coming in. About 12 of 40 have come back. :/ our guest list is at less than 40, and 150 were invited. But in the end that's fine because it helps keep cost down.

With so many ups and downs some people are texting me saying they weren't sure if the wedding was even still on. Which means tonight I'm trying to e-mail everyone and make sure they know. OF course they'd know if they would read either of our wedding websites, but I suppose that'd be asking too much.

I'm glad he finally called. I would be so frustrated and upset with DF if he didn't call me or email or anything for that long. I'm glad he called thou! :goodvibes

Glad to hear the husband finally called!!! It is so exciting to hear that the RSVPS are coming in hopefully more keep coming. :)

EEk! Talked to hubby and he says they're due home in less than 60 days! Can't believe how close everything is getting.

RSVPs were due on the 24th. It looked at first like our number was gonna be a beautiful 50 some.. but quickly the e-mail RSVPs started to pour in from the ones that didn't remember to put theirs in the mail on time (frankly I think they completely forgot and my MIL called them to remind them). Anyways.. we're at 70+ people.

Now that I have a guest count I'm going to start doing the crunching of numbers to bring the price down a little.

Tomorrow I have my wedding hair trial appointment :D

So glad DFi is almost on his way home!! So excited for you!

Wow, your guest count crept up there! Hope number crunching and the hair trial goes well-- can't wait to see the pictures!

I'm so happy for you that he's nearly home! I love your white shoes, do you mind if I ask where you got them from?

Glad to see I'm not the only one planning w/ a spouse overseas. HUGS. Best of wishes.

It can be tough, but for the most part Disney is great with giving you time to hopefully talk to your spouse before making decisions. Also, I had 48hrs notice he was coming home for R&R. So I called to try and make an emergency Planning Session because I wanted him to be involved. Even though my (then) planner wasn't available Disney understood that his time home was short and had the head of planning (Her name starts with a J :/ I'm sick and it's early so right now the name isn't coming to me) met with us instead so that he could be a part of the planning. Was absolutely amazing!

Also, be sure to ask for a military discount (if that's why your spouse is overseas)

Enjoying reading your plans so far as I am another WP / GF bride. Love your invites! Glad you have now heard from DH and he will be back with you soon :) Hope your hair trial goes well. :)

My hair trial was amazing. :)

I had washed my hair earlier in the day so the curls needed a lot of hairspray to stick, but it was just enough so I could get a general idea. Loved it!

The stylist has pictures so I'm just waiting for him to e-mail me them.

It's a half-up with loose curls.
