Guess I should start a PJ since I'm only 5 months out. I'm so lost sometimes since I've never been to a wedding; this is all new to me.

Chris and I met through mutual friends in 2009. The Orlando Magic was in the basketball finals. We were the only single people in a large group of mutual friends that all had been meeting up to watch the games. We got to talking which led to going on a date. We had a very rocky first 5 months but it all turned out fantastic. We got engaged July 21st 2010 just 10 days before he left for ARMY bootcamp.

We both love and grew up on Disney so there wasn't even a second thought as to where we wanted to get married. Originally our wedding date was set for November 6, 2011 but in December 2010 we found out Christopher would be deployed to Afghanistan from Feb 2011 to Dec 2011.

As a split second thought we tracked down a magistrate on January 3,2011 and got married in a fitness center (yes you read that right, a fitness center). For the full story you can go here:

Christopher's father is middle eastern and so his father's side of the family does not know we are already married. My side does, but on his side only his mother, father, sister, and brother know.

We will be having our ceremony on our 1 yr wedding anniversary. Some reasons we chose to do so is because Chris will have been gone for the first year of our marriage. Doing a ceremony on the date is like a "yay we concured our first deployment" and to give us a fresh start as a married couple.

The ceremony is @ 10am at the WP with the reception to follow at the GF.
Right now our estimated budget is still coming in a bit over what we want, but we're hoping when RSVPs come in we'll have a little bit better of an idea how to cut cost (if still needed).

My dress is the Belle inspired Disney dress from Alfred Angelo.
My bridesmaid dresses will be chocolate: http://www.morilee.com/bridesmaids/bridesmaids/229

My flowers are burnt orange cala lillies.
My bridesmaid flowers are dark orange lillies
my Jr bridesmaid flowers are red carnations

For food we picked the Tinkerbell brunch. There will not be alcohol served at all except 1 mimosa for the toast.

There are my invitations: http://www.etsy.com/listing/5693096...ons&ga_search_type=handmade&ga_facet=handmade

That's about all we have figured out. I'm kinda on my own :/

Congratulations! ( on the original and the upcoming. :thumbsup2 )
Also, thank Christopher & you for his service/your sacrifice.

Thanks. I have copies of the newspaper version of the article. it made front page of the little town we got married in. At first I didn't like the idea but the more I think about it the more I love the uniqueness of it and love telling people about it.

Oh, my goodness! You look stunning! What a gorgeous dress!!!!!

I have to say that you are the first bride I've seen in the belle type dress that looks simply stunning. This gown was made for you!!!!!!

I love the dress!

I hope deployment is going well for you :) or well at least as well as it can! I've not had to go through deployment yet; I'm not looking forward to it! :D

Congratulations!! You look stunning in that dress and your invitations are so cool!!!!!! I can't wait to hear more!

Thanks ladies. I am really happy I went ahead and bought the belle dress and did not continue to settle for the original dress I purchased.

Currently I am a little stressed. Planning a wedding is hard enough, but with df/dh not being here makes it a little harder. He just sent me his guest list and there are 14 people! And that doesn't inclue "back-ups" (if people RSVP no and we can afford to invite others). We're already sending 35 families invites... I had hoped our 100ppl guest list would end uup only being 75 ppl RSVPed but it's not starting to look that way... and only 12 of the invites are mine and already 3 families have said they can't make it :(

Here is the invite we are sending to his groomsmen (yes we're just now sending it because he hasn't talked to them about it since this past January and I figured a formal invite to be a groomsman might be nice)

Your flower color and type sound so amazing....I can't wait to see a picture of how they came out.

Please thank your husband for his service (and you too). I have a nephew deployed right now (Army)....one brother in law (Army)...one other brother in law (Marines) and my brother (Air Force) all overseas.

Can't wait to read more.
