The Sunday Times is campaigning for more legroom on planes. The article they had in their travel section had photos of a guy on a charter flight and just looking at them made me feel uncomfortable.
They have an e-poll on their web-page - would you be prepared to pay more for more legroom - thought you might like to vote on this:

I voted yes Shirley as Chris is on the tall side and would appreciate the extra room every time - me on the other hand, being a *little legs* type of person doesnt really have too much problem in the legroom department.

HOWEVER:

If we could campaign for wider seats - now that would suit me better!!! LOL

LOL! Janice,:jester:
I agree totaly, being a real sized woman as well (well, larger than most anyway hehehe)
I would love to have wider than average seats as well.

This would be a boon for DW who is close to 6ft - she has a 36" inside leg!

She is often cramped up on long haul flights, although we'd pay for more legroom.

It's ok for us "little chaps", although I can see DDs going the same way as Alison.

I'm with Janice - I always find myself in the center seat which seems to be narrower than the other 2. Now I just put up the armrest between myself and Katie and pretend it's just so I can comfort her, when really it's because my bum is too big!

I've voted yes, but you just know that the airlines will start the pricing at an extra £30 and after a while it will be sky high anyway. Don't we pay enough anyway???

I would gladly pay a bit more for extra leg room as I'm 5ft 9 and poor DH is 6ft 2. I just about manage to fit into the space, but DH never looks very comfortable.

We're going to try BA after this trip with Virgin, as I believe they have a bit more room don't they?
