I see that Legoland is opening up a new waterpark this summer. We are planning a June trip and wondering how this will impact our trip.

Does this sound like a thing you would devote a whole day to or just something you would pop into for a little while? It sounds like you will pay an additional $10 to get in there on top of admission.

Does anyone have details on this? Opening date would also be helpful. There's not too much info on their web site. Just a press release and an artist's drawing.

I have been wondering the same thing myself. We have a park here that's kind of like Six Flags, and they have a nice water park that's actually part of the main park and doesn't require additional admission. I'd love to know if Legoland is going to be that way, too!

I've been really disappointed in the Legoland website.

Did you go to Legoland's Water Park website?

I watched both videos, and downloaded the Press Release and Fact Sheet. It definitely makes me want to go. The guy on the video said it will be geared toward kids ages 2 - 12. The little model of it looks really great. We probably wouldn't go until August, so hopefully by then we can read some reviews and make our decision.

I assume you could go back and forth between the waterpark and the regular park. From where they said the entrance would be, it sounds like its just off the park. I bet my kids (who will be 6 and 9 this summer) would be able to spend a good part of the day at the water park. If they want to dry off and get dressed, then the other Legoland attractions are right there.

Good luck deciding.....and have a great summer trip!

We plan to be there the first week in June, I hope it is open so my kids can experience it. THey love Legos and we were making Carlsbad our home base while we did some of the San Deigo stuff.

I was wondering the same. We plan on going in Sept. and checking it out. I was hoping we can make it a half day affair.

we will be there in june hope its open because the california waters parks have not got great reviews so i hope its open because its sounds such a unique park , the florida water parks are great so looking foward to legoland waterpark
