My girls love pin trading at Disney and we always come armed with new pins to trade on our trips.

This time, we'll be making a side trip to LEGOLAND for a day. I noticed on their website that they do minifigure trading. My girls are so excited about this. I'm thinking it's probably not as widespread in LEGOLAND as pin trading is at Disney World. Is this true? They each have about 3 figures they want to bring to trade....but they also want to buy a lot of figures from eBay to have more to trade. Is this really necessary? I'm thinking that 3 figures each will be enough for them to trade, without having to purchase the eBay ones. At Disney, there' a cast member with pins everywhere you look. Is it really like this at LEGOLAND? I just cant imagine so.

We went to Legoland in Nov 2013. Minifigure trading was one of DS(7) favorite things. He brought 5 or 6 figures. And wished he had more because every CM had two on their badge, and he would keep seeing other ones he liked. He had to retrade some of his choices.

Each figure needs a head, torso and legs for a trade. Accessories and matching the parts are not required.

Be aware - there are a lot of fake lego minifigure lots on ebay. The quality will be very noticeably different. I do not think they would be tradeable since they are not authentic Lego.

Another good place to check for good prices on minifigs is Craigslist -- people seem to sell Lego at good prices on there regularly.

We went this past June with my nephew who brought about 5 or 6 mini figures to trade. There are many "model citizens" (Lego employees) to trade with. He really enjoyed trading, but just kept trading them over and over. He wasn't looking for any certain ones, but liked the interactions. It is just as much fun as Disney's pin trading. :)
