Legoland from/return to WDW Resort

I'm sure this has been asked and answered a thousand times but I'm too lazy to search and just want a quick idea...

I'm doing some preliminary planning for a trip later this year. DH and I will most likely stay on site (use ME to/from the airport) but we want to plan a day at Legoland.

What are the options (and approximate costs) for transport to and from? Taxi? Shuttle? Limo (okay that's probably extreme, but hey, if I'm dreamin' I might as well dream big, right??? )

Legoland also has a shuttle bus that leaves from Orlando Premium Outlets. http://florida.legoland.com/en/buy_tickets/Admission-Tickets1/shuttle/

You would have to take a cab to the mall, then pay for the bus, then a cab back to WDW. Plus you can't leave when you want. I would rent a car.

Agreed, rental car will be the most direct/cost effective/time effective route.
