Planning on a vacation in October with my DD (10), DS (13), and Mom. Staying at Paradise Pier and renting a car to visit Legoland and Sea World, in addition to 3 days at Disneyland. Looking at the website for Legoland it looks like a park for younger kids. Would my DS enjoy himself at all? He use to always ask for Lego's at Birthdays and Christmas but not so much lately. They are excited about going but not sure if when he gets there he would be let down.

Thanks,

We went in October. Our 9, 7, and 5 year old liked it a lot but I see a 13-year-old not having much fun unless he can enjoy his sister enjoying it. That being said, if you go when the water park is open, he might like that, and even as an adult I enjoyed looking at all the Miniland, U.S.A. and Star Wars stuff. The theming was fun. The rides, not so much. There were a few he might enjoy. And their crowd-handling was kinda awful compared to Disney. We all enjoyed our lunch there, though. Make sure you take advantage of the BOGO coupons (or October specials) and it's not so bad. I'd hate to pay full-price there.

We took DS (10) to Legoland in FL this past December and I think that he was at the top range of ages who would enjoy it. Some of the rides were WAY too young for him and a few we enjoyable for adults but on the whole I would say that it is geared mostly for the under 10 crowd.

Took my daughter when she was 5 (see picture to the left) and she had a blast. In my view, I would say that 10 is the upper limit for a child who is obsessed with Lego, but otherwise, I tell people that it's a great park for the 8 and under set.

That being said, if Mommy and Daddy like to shop, it is located right next to a Premium Outlet Mall, so...

I bought the So. Cal City pass! Well, we will just roll with it and see what happens, if we have to cut that park visit short then we can stop at the beach on our way back to Anaheim! Thanks for your replies! Appreciate it.

I live about 10 mins from Legoland, and I think 13 is too old. The rides will be a serious let down from DL. Now if you can do Legoland first it could be fun. He will probably really enjoy the rooms where you can build legos in the front to the left or in the back at the water area where you build boats and race them. Your DD will love it!
