Legoland CA questions

Our eldest son would like to visit Legoland in California sometime so I am trying to find more out about it.

1. How many days would it take to see everything in it and not feel rushed?
2. Is it worth going to or does it just look interesting?
3. How far away is it from Disneyland?

We just went to Legoland on August before our Disney Cruise. We did the entire park in one day with an almost 3 year old. She had a blast and there were lots of things for her to do. We went to Disneyland when we left Legoland and I think it was about 1 hour to 1 1/2 hours to get there, but that all depends on traffic. We got lucky when we went and didn't hit much traffic either way. I think it was worth going to. There was a lot to do. How old is your son?

It's a great park- very clean. It takes 1 day to see. DS 7yo son would rather go to Legoland than WDW.
