Lego Land

We plan on Legoland our next trip down. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Found something at Legoland that would make Teamubr feel at home...

Campers in middle of racetrack...out of Legos! Very cool
That looks fun! Except for the Class A and box truck in the middle of the track. :-) It amazes me seeing the things at the Disney Springs Lego store. My DS still loves to build things with Legos and he's 18.

I will say (as local school back in) that the crowd was non-existent (weekday visit for us today). No lines for pretty much anything. If in season/super busy time, I can envision some long waits as the short lines took a few minutes more than they would at say, Disney. ( ...ride operations as far as loading, unloading, getting people organized aren't quite as smooth there as the Disney cast). Our kids really wanted to do driving school, flying school, boating school attractions, so we b-lined to back of park at opening to do those first with no waits (although we basically had no waits as I said).

Food prices were expected theme park amounts...same about how good the food actually was. (Although, you should have the apple fries!)

Maybe if you can research first it would help. Being unfamiliar with the park, we were back and forth like crazy because one kid wanted to do this but the other wanted to do that and then wanted to go back to somewhere else again after...lol. If rainy season (like us today), the imagination building with lego activities was a great wait it out place...nice and cool and lots of building available as well as an indoor eating/snacking restaurant. We bought our tix/parking online before coming. We didn't do water park, so can't speak to that. Not a bad drive from Disney...I-4 to US 27 south...about 40-45 minutes.

Mine are 11 and 5. Girls, and avid Lego fans. :thumbsup2

Don't worry Jim, I'm 39 and I'll pile up in the floor and build something in a heartbeat.

You were in my back yard! We live right across the street from the parking lot. Always love to see fellow Dis'ers in my neighborhood. We are not a big city, but Winter Haven is a pretty nice town and has been my home for 48 years. Legoland has been a great neighbor. Hope you had a good time.

Legoland is our neighbor. We have been a few times and really enjoy it. It was Cypress Gardens forever and LEGOLAND did a great job to keep the landscaping and make it not feel like just another amusement park. No big thrill rides, but plenty to keep you and your girls entertained. The ski show and the botanical gardens are two things they kept from Cypress Gardens. I heard the hotel is amazing, will have to make an effort to take a tour the next time we are over. We visit the water park more than the ride park, just because it's 100 degrees with 100 % humidity here, so we are much happier in the water. The McDonalds in town, about 7 minutes up the road, has free child ticket with every adult ticket (may be every two adult tickets) not sure exactly, but still free is free.

Free!? Really?

Is this an admission ticket you're referring to?

Yes, free child admission with each adult paid admission. I see the sign a McDonalds all the time, but I also looked on the LEGOLAND website and the promotion is also on there. I think they give you a coupon, just have to ask for it.

McDONALD'S SPECIAL LEGOLAND Florida Resort- KIDS GO FREE offer!

Promotion can only be redeemed on this website and can not be applied to pre-purchased tickets at the front gate. Ticket offer includes one (1) complimentary child ticket with one (1) full-priced adult ticket. Each special Kids Go Free package below includes one adult ticket and one child ticket per package. Ticket price already reflects discounted offer. Valid three(3) FREE OFFERS per transaction.

There was also another promo code out there, not sure who this one is offered by:

Planning a trip to LEGOLAND? Through June 30th, 2017 online (or December 31st, 2017 at ticket booth), LEGOLAND is offering up a FREE Child Ticket ($84 value) with a Full-Price Adult Ticket Purchase when you use promo code 169907 at checkout. This offer is valid for LEGOLAND in California, Florida or LEGOLAND Discover Centers. Head here for more information.

Google "LEGOLAND kid go free" and these offers should pop up.

Why thank you much.

We also got free tickets for kids entry, but it was via some sort of Lego magazine thing...I would have to ask my wife...and it involved buying the tickets online ahead of time as well (not at the gate).

They have a magazine!? :worship:

This has the potential to get dangerous.

I will ask her about it tonight when she wakes up...she's resting for her RN night shift tonight.

I forgot about the Magazine. My son got it for years. He still has a bunch of them. When you sign up for the Lego Club, you get the magazine and a few free sets and a free child coupon to both Legoland parks.

I did a Kramer over the price...good grief!

so, please tell me more about lego club. I told the kids about legoland...and they actually had a bigger response than when I told them about Disney. But, we won't be doing both this time.
