I have seen the pink set at my local target and also at Sam's Club last week. I find a few lots on ebay that included lots of friends pieces for a great price and was able to combine shipping since they were all from the same seller. I didn't find most ebay Lego prices to be great deals but happened upon these at just right time with a low starting bid and no one else bidding.

This weekend Barnes & Noble is having their Friends and Family event. 20% off any one item with coupon. The online code is FRIENDNFAM. Free shipping on all orders over $25. You can also print out the coupon and use it in store. It came in an e-mail today and is good thru Monday. PM me if you would like me to send it to you via e-mail.

I checked the details on the coupon and it does NOT exclude Legos. They carry pretty much the full line of Lego Friends sets online not sure about in the B&M stores. They also have the advent calendar online. 20% off any set would beat the prices for most of the sets they have on Walmart or Amazon. The big thing is that this would also be good on the Friends Advent Calendar. The Advent sets rarely if ever go on sale so this is a great deal on that set. The advent sets are great because there's a ton of little sets within the larger set and none of the mini sets are very complicated to build.

The prices at TRU are usually higher than stores like target and Walmart. Sometimes that means their sales and deals really arent as good as they seem.

If you have a smartphone or tablet, get the Walmart app. It will give you the prices in your local store so you can check to see if something is on clearance and if it's in stock in your local store without having to go there.

The Barnes and Noble coupon is a GREAT tip! Forgot about that one : ) Oh...you should so get the Friends Advent calendar. We have done the city one and the star wars ones, and they are really fun. A new surprise every day in December! Historically the Friends set sold out before all others.

My DD 10 is seriously into Lego Friends and they have smaller sets that you can definitely start with. I'm also a fan of the Lego VIP Club and if you have a store near you the customer service can't be beat. During the month of October you get double points and that is when I do a lot of my Christmas shopping, they also occasionally offer 10% discounts in their magazines, maybe twice a year so sign up for that also. Don't do TRU, even with their sales they are more expensive than Lego itself.

DD10 has too many Lego Friends sets and they don't seem to go on sale as often. If I can find a set that's 30% off or more and she doesn't have it, that's when I consider it a good deal. 50% or greater off gets bought unless I know for sure we already have it. I figure I can always return it later, but they dont last long on the shelf if they're marked down.

I use camelcamelcamel to track lowest prices from Amazon and they email me an alert when specific sets drop below whatever price point I set. Slickdeals is also helpful for finding sets on sale.

Thanks for this info. I just ordered the LEGO castle that my DGS wanted at 50% off and got the 20% off something else for my DGS that will just be a year old in December. It was a great deal!

Your welcome. I bought some stuff instore to put away for Christmas. I was hoping they had Castle sets but they didn't. I did end up finding some Master Builder Academy sets so I got those. I was really surprised because I've never seen those instore before. I thought they were Lego store exclusive. I ended up getting some other toys too and stacked the 20% off with those. I'm lucky because the closest Barnes and Noble to me got rid of their music and dvd section to make a big toy area.

I had a yard sale this weekend and all my daughters legos and American girl stuff were the first things that sold that morning! I would look on craigslist and get her a used set to start and see if she can even do them.

It has to be a qualifying item for the 50% discount. Last night I was able to get 50% off of a LEGO set, but today it doesn't show qualifying. I guess I got really lucky!!

Another site to watch is Yo yo. They have quite a few sets of Lego Friends. They will have different offers throughout the year. I think last year I got 20% off with my first order. Another time there was a buy one get one 1/2 off. Their original prices are basically what you would find at Target.
