Hi

I posted a few days ago about travelling to Disney for New year, we found with Leger but they was using a offsite hotel and you only get one day in the park.. So now thinking of going a few days before christmas, Either the 13th/15th, for 4 Days 3 nights with Leger Holidays, Now we have never travelled with Leger holidays before so was wondering if anyone had travelled with them before and what they thought of them?

Also Have a few questions: :confused3

How much do they charge for a infant? She will be 2 in May?
Also the Insurance with them?

Im sure i will think of more questions!! :rotfl:

Thanks In Advance!:)

I just wanna get it booked! Ive never been for the christmas season :santa: :santa: :santa:

Are Leger Holidays (who I know nothing about, sorry) taking Christmas Season bookings? I ask because Disney have yet to release the pricing. Last year it was the end of May before they released the pricing and took direct bookings.

I have travelled with them twice before (If you look in the Trip Report's index for my TRs, the first and last days of each will give you an idea of the coach journey)... They are excellent. Very professional.

I don't know about the price of an infant, but we took their own insurance. I'm not sure how much it was (My Fiance booked both trips) but I don't think it was very expensive....

Yes if you go to www.magicallegerbreaks.co.uk you will see there that you can book!

Thanks for your replies, just compaing prices now and it seems its only an extra £50 per person to go via euro star which would give us loads more time in the parks :-) worth it.... i think so!! :goodvibes

Went twice in 2007, did a couple of trip reports, one was March and one in November.
Apart from the very long coach journey, which is to be expected, I couldn't fault Leger. :)
Aslo went with them via Eurostar in October, 2004, again no problems whatsoever.

Thanks Jill for your reply, so with Eurostar and booking through Leger the package includes arriving at the station nr Disney and they then take our luggage to our hotel (Disney Express) also can you book half board vouchers via Leger?

Thanks Again for your reply

From memory their holidays do not include park tickets for every day, friends arrived on Eurostar and did not have a ticket for that day and also the last day.

If you're arriving late by coach, then the parks might be closed so it is not problem.

I don't know if things have changed then, but with the Eurostar trip we had a 5 day holiday and 5 days park tickets, maybe worth checking just in case they've changed the ticket allocation.
Disney Express was included and we did have food vouchers on that trip, but it was before the HB plans were introduced properly, so I don't know how that worked, we were just asked if we wanted to prepay for our meals at the time I booked. :confused3
You can definately book character meals through Leger, or at least you could in 2007.
They're very friendly and very helpful on the telephone, I booked all 3 of our Leger trips direct with them, I'd ring them with any queries. :)

We went with these on NYE last year. We won't be going again with them

We had a three day trip booked, with NYE in the park. The chunnel closed and we were rushed by police escort (12 coach loads!) to the ferries (Kudo's to Leger for making sure we crossed the pond) and then it just went down hill from there :-(

First our driver got stuck in traffic (as we arrived later than we should) and she decided NOT to drive into Paris for the BOOKED sight seeing tour (which we were not refunded for) then she said she'd been driving too long and arranged for us to stay at a hotel that wasn't ours! It was in the middle of nowhere, no restaurant, the food was a pastry and juice for breakfast (that is ALL) and in the morning she left for the park in fog and announced it was going to rain/snow and we'd all be cold as she wasn't picking us up till 1.am. All she was worried about was a break to smoke!

We were very disappointed and it ruin our trip - ONE DAY in the park, 8 hours to get to the hotel and I live in Ashford, 8 hours back and a toilet that didn't work!! You can imagine that the Disney magic lacked severely in this trip!

Dad got so upset we agreed to do our own planning, 5 days in the park and staying at the Cheyenne, with Eurostar and it'll only take us two hours to get there and with no fuss!!

I would seriously say no to any other coach break, I've been put off for life!! We could've been in Orlando the time it took between leaving home and getting to the (wrong) hotel!!

For everyday were in the park, 4day 3 nights breaks we get a ticket everyday that were there if we go on the eurostar, if u travel by coach you only get a 2 day pass, we are thinking of eurostar, but just weighing up the cost of getting to either eurostar station as we will be coming from wales.

Thanks for all your replies, i will contact leger now to see about adding Half board Vouchers then will look into that in more details.... Im sure i will have plenty of questions!!

I used them for a Eurostar trip in 2004 to the Santa Fe.

Worked out expensive but did the job that I wanted at the time (would just book directly now though) no problems at all and a very good company.

They did offer half board when I went in 2004 however when I called about adding it to my booking they had no idea what I was talking about despite having it in their brochure so we never went ahead with it.

Yeah it is a little expensive but we want to book it now so we have longer to save and Disney dont release xmas dates :santa: till June so thats out of the question!

Ive contacted Leger and they say they dont offer half board Vouchers but i can book them with Disney, although i was under the impression if im booking via a agent im unable to book Half board direct with Disney? :confused3
