OK - so most of us have heard the story of master gracey that goes along with the HM.....in fact most disney attractions have a story behind the attraction - kind of like a script that was used to layout the que area and ride.

anyone know the story that goes along with EE and the dreaded Yeti?

you start off as if your're arriving for well, an everest expedition. the first room in the queue is where you 'check in' for your trip. as you wind through the queue, there are warnings and idols of the yeti, many with offerings. it explains the villagers regard the yeti as the protector of the mountain. you then see the findings of previous expeditions showing proof of his existence. (photo's, footprint casts, etc...) you see the reamains of an expedition that vanished (shredded tents, crushed items, items with teethmarks). it also shows you the diversity of life in the mountains. does the yeti exist? eventually, you make your way to the train that is going to haul you up the mountain. after the lift hill, you turn a corner and the track has been ripped up. then the fun begins.

cool - but that brings me to my next question.....if i use fastpass, am i wisked past these story line elements in the que area that would give me the true feel of the attraction?

i don't want to wait in line for an hour or more, but if going thru the standby area gives one a better overall experience (especially for a first time rider) maybe we will try and hit this at a time of day when the wait might not be so long.
