Hello my fellow disers  I have some leftover spaghetti noodles in my fridge. Anybody have any suggestions on what I can make with them? I hate to throw them away. I really need to learn how to not make so much spaghetti.

take them over to the "Rate my Lunch" thread...Pop Daddy will eat them :rotfl:

make spaghetti pie!

Mix the spaghetti, with parmesean cheese & eggs (1 or 2 depending on how much spaghetti you have), and garlic powder(to taste)

Butter up a large skillet pan and fry it till it becomes solid like a pie!

MMMMMMMMMMMMMM goooooooooooooooooooooooood! :thumbsup2

PS This ONLY works if you saved the Spaghetti WITH the sauce!!!!!!!

I was going to suggest them same, sans garlic yuck!!!, my granny used to make this. She called it something Italian that sounded like Pizza-freed.

Obvisouly I don't know how to spell it, but is sure is yummmers!

Replace the noodles in your favorite pasta recipe with the spaghetti.

Spaghetti Pie --- YES....but you guys forgot all the filling stuff. :confused3

This recipe is very close to mine...but I simplify the filling with a layer of ricotta & a layer of leftover sauce with lots of meat & veggies. Top with mozzarella. I leave off the pepperoni.

Uses plain (no sauce) leftover spaghetti.

Alot like lasagna without all the work. FREEZES REALLY WELL IN SLICES TOO. :thumbsup2

EDITED TO FIX LINK.

The link goes to advertisements! :sad2:

PS The sauce must already be on the spaghetti!

You could also serve it as a cold salad with tomatoes, cucumbers and Italian dressing.

I love just plain spaghetti noodles with butter, garlic salt, and parmesian (sp)cheese. I have never heard spaghetti pie before, that sounds yummy.

My Mom used to fry leftover spaghetti(with sauce already on it). Tastes better than the first day, I think!

Pesto sauce.
Adding it to chicken soup.
Frying the noodles & serving it with a stir-fry.

Pasta salad. Assortment of veggies and Italian dressing and McCormick salad supreme.

I was going to recommend this. I also add Black olives, pepperoni and green onions.

You could add some of it to potato salad instead of using macaroni. Just cut it up to more bit size pieces.
I also make my tuna casserole using spagetthi noodles.

I tend to feed our extra noodles to the dog.

fixed my link in recipe in post #6 & clarified "my version" of the recipe. Sorry about that.

All these ideas! i should come up with item i have and get to the DIS boards, i bet everyone could give me a bunch of different recipes!!

Never heard of the pie before either, but sounds good!

Cut up mix with some squash, onion, peppers, chicken add terriyaki and soy sauce and you have a great Japanese dish :thumbsup2

try this one: :thumbsup2

Egg Pasta Frittata Dinner

ingredients2 tablespoons extra-virgin olive oil (EVOO)
2 tablespoons butter
2, 3 or 4 cups leftover cooked pasta
12 large eggs
1/4 cup half-and-half, heavy cream or milk
Salt and freshly ground black pepper
1/4 cup chopped flat-leaf parsley
1-2 cups leftover tomato sauce
1 cup shredded Italian mix cheese

preparation :Preheat oven to 425°F.

Heat a large non-stick skillet with an oven-safe handle over medium-high heat. If all of your skillets have rubber handles, cover handle tightly in foil to protect it. Add oil and butter and melt together. Add the leftover pasta and cook until lightly browned, 2-3 minutes.

While the pasta is browning beat the eggs with the half-and-half, add some salt, pepper and the parsley, if you have it.

Add the egg mixture to the skillet and stir gently to combine. Allow the eggs to set up on the bottom of the pan and become firm. Top with the leftover tomato sauce and top that with the cheese. Transfer pans to oven and bake 10 minutes, until golden. Serve from the pan or transfer to a platter, hot or cold, cutting frittata into wedges. If it’s for lunch or dinner, serve with a simple salad.

My favorite is Thai Peanut Sauce, meant to be served on rice noodles, but I always us spaghetti. I use about a half cup of crunchy old-fashioned style peanut butter. Add enough boiling water to stir in and make it smooth. Then I add some soy sauce, brown sugar, vinegar(have used rice wine or cider), finely chopped garlic and some form of hot pepper. I have used cayenne and habanero powder in the past, but my favorite is the not-so-Thai chipotles packed in adobo sauce. I usually chop one up and add it and a little of the sauce. This is so good hot or cold. I have a friend that adds coconut milk and hers is good too! :thumbsup2
