Will Disney mail items left behind at a resort, and if so, what is the email address where we can communicate with them?
Just left yesterday and my sister discovered when she got home that she had not gotten everything out of her room.

She should contact them as soon as possible. They will mail the items to her. There is a link on the "welcome to your resort" email that is sent when you check into the resort. She needs to fill out a form and they can help her get her items back.

I was contacted once by Disney to inform me we had left something behind and they were sending it back to me. I racked my brain to remember what we left. Turns out it was a pair of Pocahontas boots I had purposely left by the trash can because they had been rain soaked and I didn't want to keep.

Another time I got home and realized I didn't have my car keys! They had gotten pushed to the back of the dresser behind something. I will add it was a week until Christmas and that key ring had the only key to the house that had all the presents in it! So stressful, but they were great, located the keys and had them back to me in time (and yes, I have extra copies of the closet key now!)

I hope your sister gets her things back.

My husband decided to throw away his old loafers instead of packing them to take home with us. So, I left a note with the shoes to let them know that I didn't want them anymore and they could donate them to charity or keep them. I was afraid that they would mail them back to me. :)

Good idea! I'm here to say there's a good chance they would have returned them. I laughed when I opened the package with the boots. They had told me they left something but wouldn't say what it was so I was surprised when I opened it.

I was going to say it is hit or miss. I have had some items returned that very valuable, some item "where never found by the house keeping staff"

Best of luck. My friend accidentally left a bag with souvenirs in it in her room at YC in November - filed a report and nothing ever came of it.

I have left things behind in the dryer at the BCV’s before. I filled out the report and the items were delivered in about 10 days. The thing that really surprised me, no shipping charge.

Disney Lost & Found used to be good when you could actually go to the location. Lost a very expensive pair of prescription sunglasses and had to fill out that e-form...never heard from Disney or saw those glasses again.

When I used the online system the last couple years I got a “we’re looking for it” type email. Then, I got notified when they found my stuff pretty quick as well. I was very impressed with it. I also lost a hat I never got back. 💯 it was stolen, it was pretty cute.

We’ve had a stuffed animal and a MB recovered through the online system. In both instances it notified us fast enough we were able to go to guest services in EP and the hotel front desk at RIV to retrieve the items we’d lost in those locations earlier that day. After closing or a certain time the items would have been sent to a central location.

If something is in plain sight or a logical spot like the drawers, the housekeeping staff will usually find it and bring it to lost & found for the resort. But if something is in a slightly different spot, sometimes it can be missed by housekeeping, and it would be up to the next guest in that room - if they are ethical, they'll report it and turn it over to staff - but if it's something valuable or interesting that they like, and they lack ethics and morals, they may just decide to keep it...then there's not much chance you'll get it back.

In all my stays at Disney, I've found items in the room 3 times - it doesn't happen often. Usually it's when they're stored somewhere like the coffee-table storage units that open up, or in the laundry machine...or behind the end table in the bedroom (the three places I've found items). I notified the front desk of the items and turned them over - the dryer items were just a few clothing items, and the items in the coffee table storage were Minnie ears and a child's tutu...the third item was a very nice jewelry gift from the stores in a bag with a 3-figure value - the first two most people would likely report or turn over, but some less ethical folks might have kept item #3...that's where luck comes into play in deciding whether you'll get your item back.

I've had a cute hat stolen and went to the Lost and Found location at MK, and it was there. My sister didn't realize she had left the clothes behind until we were back home. We contacted Disney the next day. She has gotten that email but not any other communication.

I guess Mousekeeping looks in the drawers when they clean a room, or in our case, cabin. I knew going in to this that it depended on the Mousekeeper as to whether or not the items get turned in.

I left a garbage pillow one year and they mailed it home. I had no idea until this big package showed up. I certainly did not want it back, but appreciated that they cared enough to send it.
