what do you do with your left over supplies when you check out of villa when you cannot take it with you. things like soda water other unopened food .cleaning supplies etc
The few times we've flown, I've asked people cming/going from their units if they wanted the unopened items, and any left over laundry products.
Any opened food items, I've tossed.
If it is only one or two cans of soda, I've just left it, thinking the housekeepers may get to drink them during a break...if they are allowed to do so.
I wish Disney would put a box somewhere and tell people that they can leave unopened items there when they leave . They could make an agreement with an institution like Salvation Army , to come and pick up the food everyday and give it back to poo people.

Things like water and supplies in cans or unopened pasta etc, I go out to the parking lot and find people just arriving and "gift" them with it. Things like potatoes or fresh produce that is unused are the things I puzzle over. I will sometimes try to pawn those off as well, or sometimes I leave them in the unit hoping a housekeeper can make use of them.
We have gotten better about not having leftovers like that though anymore. This time we took oranges home with us, as well as some water, but we left potatoes in the unit. I'm quite sure a housekeeper could make use of those.
When we first bought DVC we asked the front desk if housekeeping was aloud to take left over food. We were told to leave a note saying they were welcome to the items. We have gotten better over the years at leaving little to nothing in the room. Maybe ketchup or mayo. If we are staying 10 days, I now plan meals for 7 or 8.
All of the above. We often will take bottle water or juice boxes to the pool and find a family who might want them. Or we leave stuff behind for the housekeeper. Once we found ourselve at the airport terminal and gave our bottle water to the folks at the National rental return area. We also take our swiming noodles and give them to some one at the pool. We do try to make sure we don't overstock during our trips. We find ourselves going to the grocery store at least 3 times during our 2 week trips. When we visit AK, it's just right around the corner, so try to do it then.
