Leesburg/Trevares

Anyone ever stayed in Leesburg/Trevares area and then on to Disney? Just wondering if staying off the beaten path would be advantageous this time of year. We forgot to make any reservations for the night before check-in and are scrambling to find a place for one night.

I live here about an hour west of WDW. Leesburg and all of Lake County is really pretty in general. They are about 45 min away from WDW depending on where you stay.
Mount Dora is really, really beautiful and they do a special holiday celebration in the town.
Just know it's not really super close to WDW but it is very nice in that area.
