After watching yesterday I don't think there is any doubt Lee has finally reached the point where there is just no way ESPN can let him continue as a full-time pat of Gameday after this year(and maybe sooner).

It is very sad,but I think everybody at ESPN,after yesterday, knows it is time.

My thought is to let him continue, but ONLY come onstage at the very end of the show and do the Headgear Selection.

And that's it.

That would still allow him to stay active, travel with the show,be around his buddies, etc.

Yesterday was very hard to see.

I love College GameDay. I love Corso. Every year, for the past couple of years, I think that it had better be his last season. There were some upsetting moments last season for sure. ESPN letting him go would be the kindest thing they could do for him.

I didn’t see this weekend, but there were several times last year that it was just so sad and obvious that he is not able to do the telecast any ire. I agree that maybe do the HeadGear only at the end would be a good transition this year and then maybe next year not have him on at all. He’s 87. I don’t think many of us would be able to be in our career and do it the way we would want at 87–I know I couldnt
