It is rumored that Jimmy Page wishes to take Led Zeppelin out on tour, to follow-up on the success of that concert last December. However, Robert Plant has stated that he will not be available for at least two years.

Note that Canoe Jam! is a very worthy Canadian website with news about music, tours, etc.
Anyway, this morning the 'word' is that Steven Tyler of Aerosmith has agreed to be the singer for the Led tour. No link available for this rumor as yet. It is being 'said' that Page does not want a 'Plant clone', but, if Led tours without Plant, he (Page) wants a fresh spin on the music.
I do think that Tyler would be an interesting choice. Frankly, while Plant was always excellent in the recording studio the two times I saw Zeppelin live (back in the early 1970s) I thought his voice seemed lacking in person. I still recall how he butchered Stairway one concert.
One person noted that Steven Tyler could probably do an excellent voice for When the Levee Breaks.
Thoughts? Suggestions for a replacement singer?
