LeCellier question

Last year we went there for dinner hoping to get their cream cheese mash potatoes with our steak,but our server told us they just have these at lunch now. Does anyone know if this is still the case,as I dont see them on the recent menu at all.

We were there for lunch on Saturday, they still had them on the lunch menu.

If you look at the lunch menu, you'll find them listed as a side for the New York Strip Steak and as a separate side:

There was a similar thread a while back about someone being upset that they couldn't get them at dinner anymore. The dinner menu has a different type of mashed potatoes (truffle crushed potatoes). So, if you want the cream cheese mashed potatoes, you'll have to go at lunch.

I couldn't tell if you were being serious or not, but from a thread a few weeks ago, you can't get the cream cheese mashed potatoes at dinner (see Post #12).

I think the change occurred when Le Cellier became a Signature restaurant for dinner. If it's not on the dinner menu, the ingredients are put away at the end of lunch service and it's no longer available for the day.

A number of people really like the cream cheese mashed potatoes, but so far no one has said they've been able to get them during dinner after Le Cellier became a Sig.

If you really want them, it would be best to make a lunch reservation.

My Mom and I had dinner at LeCellier about 2 weeks ago. My Mom wanted to get the filet but she really dislikes mushrooms. The waitress suggested she have hers served with mashed potatoes. I don't know if they were cream cheese mashed potatoes, but they were delicious. They were not listed on the dinner menu.

They better have them on the dinner menu when I go, that's the whole reason for going.

ANd here I thought it was that cheese soup that everyone sought after guess I'll have to try them potatoes next time I'm there for lunch.....

Don't know if you are being sarcastic or not, but I would never make a reservation based off of a single item being on the menu. I always keep in mind that the menu can change and any item can be removed.

As you can see from all the replies, they don't have them on the dinner menu.
You will NOT be able to get them.
If you are serious, you need to reconsider your decision.
Maybe there is somewhere else in Epcot you would rather eat?

Hi Everybody,

I was a server there - finished my contract in December, so I thought I could help clear this one up.

The cream cheese mash is now only served at lunch, and only until the Spring Menu change, when they will be replaced.

The mash at dinner WAS the truffle mash. Same mash base, just with white truffle oil and butter added in.

The dinner menu has some great parm-crusted potato wedges that get a toss in some fresh herbs. They make a lovely and filling side, and a great sub if you don't like the listed side dish.
