LeCellier, is it WORTH IT??

While you make a good point, the OP asked if the food was just OK or great. I think the top rating at least helps answer that question. If that number was all about atmosphere & service, the rating wouldn't be near as high.

So the food is great at Chef Mickey's which gets nearly as high a rating as Le Cellier? I think the rating is "hey, give this restaurant a 1 - 10 based on how it lived up to your expectations - food, atmosphere, service and value." Chef Mickey's gets a great rating because the characters are great, the food is plentiful and decent. Flying Fish - my favorite restaurant at Disney where we've always had excellent service and excellent food, has only a 6 somthing All Ears Net rating - I suspect the fact that its easy to spend $300 is part of the reason. If Le Cellier is going to continue to exceed expectations, you have to have reasonable expectations. Its a great steak for the money. Its a not great steak compared to the one they serve at California Grill for $10 more.

We ate at LeCellier in Dec 06. Loved it. Was super. Our server was ho-hum, but the meal was awesome. We returned just last week, and DH says to cross that one off our list. I'm sure it was just a bad meal, but our steaks were very hard to chew. Our server, Tracy, was AWESOME. She talked to our girls for quite a while. She talked about where she was from and about her language, etc. DD didn't know French was spoken in Canda. DH had the duck appetizer, and he loved it. So, did DD when she thought she was eating chicken. I loved the cheese soup. We were on the dining plan, so the price didn't matter. I am returning there at the end of November with my mom, DS, and aunt, and I think I'll try something other then the steak.

I stand by my posts on this thread. It gets a high customer rating because, in part (imo a large part), the food is very good.

The food is really good and if your a fancy famiily then this place is definately perfect for you guys. Make sure to try the Cheddar Soup it is really good!

My DBF chose this one for our evening meal ADR - and it seems he's made a decent choice from the reviews on here. I know places aren't to everyone's taste, but we're willing to give it a try. Us coming from the UK it may be all different for us, as me personally have never had the experience of Canadian food.

Got that Cheddar Cheese Soup at the top of my list too

I really loved Le Cellier! It will defnitely be a repeat for us on our next trip. I had the Cheese Soup, Mushroom Filet, and Creme Brulee. DH had the Chipotle Chicken Sausage appetizer, regular Filet, and some new dessert...I can't remember what it was. lol. But we both enjoyed our food immensely! Definitely give it a shot.

YES!! The food is excellent. Very nice, but I wouldn't say fancy. I would not give up Le Cellier for CP.

Le Cellier is one of my favorite restaraunts in WDW and is my favorite in Epcot. I luv the Cheddar Cheese Soup and the Filet Mignon are out of this world.

We just ate at LC for the first time on October 16th (DH & I). We were on vaca with our 3 kids and my parents (they watched the kids while we ate a GREAT dinner!). My dinner was FABULOUS. I started with a beefsteak tomato appetizer with mozzerella cheese and some pesto. For dinner I had Salmon over a bed of butternut squash risotto (I love risotto!!). I could not get enough of it and saved the remainder for lunch the next day (we stayed at the GF and thank goodness there was a mini fridge in our room!). My husband had the filet and it was SO good. I really do recommend this restaurant and I would not consider it fancy. There were many families with small children there that night. I felt the prices were reasonable for the quality of food we received (as compared with all of the other meals we ate!). I would definitely keep your ADR and enjoy. I can't wait to go back.

This is my favorite TS restaurant for dinner, and we tried it for lunch the first time earlier this month. It was very good - we all tried different things, and liked them all! The prime rib sandwich is very good (that's what I had) - great lean meat, no fat or gristle at all. And get extra pretzel bread - it's so good!

As others have said, it's not "fancy" but a nice restaurant. I've found the servers to be very friendly - had a great conversation with one of them when he found out that I'd gone to school in Bellingham, Washington (right by the British Columbia border, where he was from).

Absolutely wonderful food - especially the cheese soup, salmon and steak.

I won't eat here at dinner any more because it has become too popular and we waited 1 hour and 30 over our PS time. But, I would definitely return for lunch.
