Haven't had time to write a full trip report yet, but had to report this. We at at Canada for our Candlelight Proc. dinner pkg. and had the most wonderful waitress! I asked how come beaver tails weren't on the menu, and she asked if I would like one! I had never tasted one and was planning on it this trip, so she sent someone out to the cart to get them! Mine was maple/chocolate, and they wrote Canada in chocolate! DS had strawberries/cream and we both loved them! I just thought that was so sweet of her to do that! We didn't have to pay any extra. It was covered with our package! She's back home in Canada now, so we won't be able to see her at Epcot again! She will definitely be a wonderful memory for us!

:D :D :bounce: :bounce: :D :D

I've only had one server in Le Cellier that wasn't willing to go the extra step to make our trip fantastic.
We've been there more times than we can count, and have had great service!!

It's nice to know that others are treated so wonderfully too!!

I am so glad to hear nice things about Le Cellier. We just made our first PS there today for our February trip. I can't wait.
Any menu suggestions?

I've only eaten in Le Cellier once, but it was outstanding. Try the cheese soup. Any steak will be excellently prepared.

The pretzel bread is a treat, too.

Happy Birthday Cat -- anything on the menu at Le Cellier is great. My wife and I order 2 different soups -- 1 cheese and 1 beef barley and we share. Both are excellent.

Word of advice: avoid filling up on the bread sticks. It is terribly tempting because they are delish! But with frequent refills, you could find yourself fairly full before your steak arrives. That would be a tragedy! :o

We love Le Cellier and hope you will enjoy your meal there.

Also, this is a great thread! I am glad to hear your server went the extra mile to make it special for you, Minniemom.

We are planning a first visit to LeCellier next month. Its the only place in Epcot we've never eaten. Do they have mixed drinks in the evening or is it just beers?

We just ate there for the first time two weeks ago. I have to agree the service was outstanding! Our waitperson was from the Yukon. She was participating in the college program.
The meal was overall very good. Although, being a cheese lover, I was somewhat disappointed with the cheese soup. I guess it was not what I was expecting.
We tried the BBQ duck confit for an appetizer, it was excellant.
My husband and son both had the 100th anniversary Walt Disney Cake for dessert and loved it.

I believe that they have a full bar.

If my memory serves me correctly, I've seen other guests ordering cocktails.

Hope this helps........

we had a fabulous meal there too, our first time was in November. Our server was great too, she actually had dual citizenship and lived in Massachusetts too! I had filet that was awesome!

WOW!!!Reading these reviews makes me even prouder than ever to be Canadian!!! I'am a little embarassed though....I've never eaten there!!! I'am heading to WDW on the 5th of March and I definately plan on checking it out!!! Oh and yes beaver tails are delicious...almost as good as seal flipper pie!!! Is that on the menu too??? Just kidding...only in Newfoundland!!!! Oh and by the way our Niagara wines ar world famous as is our Canadian beer...forget the cocktails!!!!

I'm seriously addicted to your Inniskillin wine....

I have some in my fridge right now!!!

We had a great server at Le Cellier also. We really enjoyed our experience there. I recommend the mushroom dusted filet. It was awesome. As was the pretzel bread. And, yes, I believe they have a full bar. Have a great time!

I think I'm one of the few people who did not enjoy Le Cellier.

The atmosphere is wonderful, but the food, at least that evening, was not great.

Can't bring myself to give it another try!

I must admit that we're not pepper freaks, so we ask them to leave the 'dusting' of pepper off of all out choices.

And speaking of disappointing experiences (OT) we had a off-putting experience at the Rose and Crown on Saturday night.

Don't get me wrong, the food was very good, but it will probably be a few trips before I go back again.

:( :( :(

Our waitress suggested we dip the pretzel bread in the cheese soup - excellent suggestion. We also mentioned that we were going to skip dessert and get beavertails instead. Our waitress (and hostess) had us ask a question to the girl at b-tail stand, so we'd get a kick out of her response. The b-tail stand is titled "Trapper Bobs Beavertails." We asked "Where's Trapper Bob?" Our waitress was right. With very little emotion in her voice she said "He's out trapping more beavers, we're low on tails." Then we told her our waitress put us up to it and we all had a good laugh.

We went to Le Cellier a number of years ago (probably around 1996/97) and although I enjoyed what I had, I wasn't over fond of our waiter, and the portions at that time were a little bare. It put my mum and sister off (I think they had a sirloin steak whereas I always take fillet). Has the menu / service changed since then and how should I get them to give it another try.

I hate to run it down, especially as I'm planning on emmigrating to Canada (Fraser Valley, BC to be more precise) in a couple of years or so to serve as a family practitioner.. so I'd be the first to defend the Canadians!! I loved both our visits to Toronto (and the food!)

Like pkitty, I have never eaten in my home country in WSC - just seems a kind of sad thing to do - go on vacation and eat fish and chips in the UK pavillion, no matter how good it is supposed to be!!

I've always had at least good food and service there. Generally it's been excellent!

In 1996/7 it would have still been a cafeteria style place...I think it reopened as a steakhouse in 1998.

My life would be complete if they began serving BC wines there. But not Le Cellier's fault, stupid provoncial laws wo'nt allow them to ship to the US!

We had a late lunch there and the service and the food were exellent. They cooked our steaks just the way we wanted them, and the wait staff went out of their way to make sure we had everything we needed!
I have heard some negative reviews, but I guess you get that with any place.
I for one would go back again!:D
