Leaving tomorrow, hopefully I'll remember to pack everything. Thanks for everyone's help on the boards here. All the advice, tips and friendships have been deeply appreciated.

I can't wait to hear "Welcome Home" at animal kingdom Jambo house tomorrow.

Have a wonderful time.
We just left Jambo House last Saturday.
I would recommend hanging out at the resort at least one afternoon to see many different animals. We were longing to see giraffes and finally saw them one afternoon after hanging around in our room.
Ask at the desk for a chart of animals so you can identify them and check them off. I think that would be fun for the kids. Our dd 4 got a kick out of that.
We also did a walk up at Boma's one night and got in (less than 5 minutes)
The laundry is on the 5th floor if your DVC its free.
The further out your room is on the Savannah the better the view... in my opinion. At first they had us real close to the "bridge" and we asked to be moved because the view was poor.
We had to move all of our things but it was fantastic.

Thanks for the advice. Tomorrow we'll be spending the day at the resort, no parks, so we'll get a chance to see the animals, and get our family portraits done via photopass. We have a Boma reservation tomorrow as well.

This is my favorite resort!!! I was there last March and DID NOT want to leave!!! You'll absolutely love it!!!

Oh and if you have kids, get em down to the pool early by the slide. If they're the first one down it, they get a certificate sayinh that they helped open up the slide/pool that day!!! My nephew got one and its really cool!!!

WoohoO! Have a wonderful time! AKV is our home resort and we absolutely love it there.
Don't cha just love/hate the day before a WDW trip? All of the excitement and anticipation just about kill me, but I love it at the same time.

Just think, this time tomorrow, you'll be at WDW!

We will be checking into Jambo house at AKL in mid July for two nights, we got the savannah view. It will be short but sweet, when we check out we head to AK for the day and lunch at Tusker House.

I know you will love your time at AKV, after all, it is WDW!

I would love to see some pictures of the resort rooms and pool if you can post them.
