bummer. We live in Seattle, we've had plenty of rain. What a change from the report a few days ago. I was hoping for a little sun to help out w/my vitamin D and my mood. And maybe, just maybe, a day we could swim - but not happening.

Oh well - less people in the park, I guess.

Bring your waterproof shoes and maybe even try to get some rain pants to go with your poncho and you will only notice the short rides. Have fun. I go in about 28 days and am also hoping for a day or two of sun.

So sorry to hear that! :sad1: I don't know what it has been like in S. Cal, but up here in N. Cal we have been having the most wonderful weather. Been in the 70's all week and one day up to 84! Love it! I did hear a "system" was going to move in. Even in the rain, I'd be there in a instant if I could. Hopefully, the sun will peak out for you a little. :)

Our weather has been beautiful. I just checked the forcast and it is going to be a little cloudy but it is going to be in the high 60s to mid 70s. I think it will be great for when you are here.

Here's a link to the weather for the next ten days

Rain forecasts in So. Cal. are a lot different than rain forecasts in Seattle. You might get an intermittent rain shower, but it probabaly won't rain all day.

Bring an extra pair of shoes and some rain gear and you should be good to go. Also, the parks tend to clear out when it rains, so crowds won't be a problem at all.

Accuweather.com doesn't show any rain for the next 15 days. I'm not sure which website is more accurate but since there are 2 different forecasts maybe the chance of rain isn't likely or either that or maybe the rain will be very light.

So weird, I'm checking that same link and it shows rain on Thurs - Sat. Eh, it's always a changing target. Accuweather still shows no rain, but, MSN shows rain Thur-Sat, too.

I'm just a tiny bit bummed - not letting it ruin anything.

Well our local news station hasn't said anything about rain, yet. I hope it doesn't make it this way anytime soon. We will be there Monday and Friday.

No rain on my accuweather either. Looks like it'll be warm and dry during the day with a little chill during the evening hours (40's like your days in seattle). Whatever it's worth, a rainy day in Disneyland is better than the alternative :p Have a great trip!

Weather report today said "light showers" on Wednesday and Thursday.

Now, in So. Cal. terms that means, "OMG! Water fell from the sky! RUN!" To the rest of the world that means, "You call this showers?!?!"

Coming from Seattle, I'm guessing you'll be just fine with a poncho.... if that. I truly will do anything and everything possible not to even go to the store if it is drizzling. I might get wet and melt!

IF it rains, it'll be OK. Buy an $8 poncho if it's raining (be sure to get the adult size for adults and kid size for kids), and get a couple extra bags when you buy them (they'll give you clear plastic ones as extra) so you can put them in the bags when you take off the poncho. Maybe get an umbrella or bring one if you have one (not all of us who live in this area own them), or put some money in the budget for them, if it's more than a drizzle.

Extra shoes, extra socks.

And have fun with an empty park. :)

I don't believe it. The weather is beautiful here, I've got my whole house opened up letting in the fresh warm air. I watched the weather report last night and they said there is a chance of rain at the end of NEXT week, but it should be sunny and in the high 70's this weekend! It is getting chilly at night, though, so bring jackets for when the sun goes down... but I would be very surprised to see rain!

Just happen to be reading OP post and listening to the local weather report. It's only 10% chance of rain, unless that increases, that means some clouds and some sprinkles, not a down pour. There should be some pool time in there.

I am from the Seattle area too (well actually Bothell if you know where that is) and we are going down on the 29th. Both the 29th and 30th on Accuweather are showing as rain today, though it has been pretty schitzo on there lately going from hot and sunny to rain and 60s.

With the weather we have been having here, I really wouldnt mind 60 degrees lol. I dont care if its cloudy but we get enough rain here in Seattle that I could do without that for awhile.

ALSO- my dad who is coming with my sister and I just got sick!! NOOOOO!!! He isnt going to want to do anything. I hope I dont get sick too. If I do though, I will tough it out no matter what, haha.

We are going 1/22-1/27....and weather.com is currently showing showers the whole time. In the 80's now, but getting cooler and wetter. Bummer. I am in Seattle, and can deal, but I am going with my sister and her family (almost 3yo and newly 5yo girls) who are from the high desert in Central Oregon...they are totally bummed. I am sure things will change as we get closer, and just because it rains that day doesn't mean ALL day, and surely locals will choose the sunny days to visit....but we are already bummed about IASW being closed, the grizzly river run closed, HM closed, water drained out of the lake in CA adventures (no pretty pictures there like I got ~5 years ago when I last went) ..lots of things that sorta suck. Main street being with lots of construction, horse carriage ride closed (3yo LOVES LOVES LOVES horses), etc.

Cheer me up???

We have gone this time of year for the past two years and leaving next Sat. for our third trip in Jan. What I have learned is don't believe the weather reports until the day before you leave. You can look at several different weather forecasts and they all say something different.

Also, weather has typically been for us around 67-70 degrees this time of year and we have swam in the pool; it was warm enough to do so. That being said, we do pack ponchos and have had to use them a couple times for short little spouts of rain. It has never had any effect on our having fun, riding rides...if anything it clears the park out when it starts to sprinkle.

HM and IASM are usually down this time of year. Fantasmic is usually as well and this will be the first trip in Jan. for us when we will actually get to see it. I would trade the fireworks for that! Grizzly has not been down for us before and I am bummed about that but it is forecasted to be up three full days before we leave, and you never know they may do some soft openings to work the bugs out...
