Okay, We are leaving for WDW tomorrow!! Yeay I can't wait.
I just got done ironing all my clothes that I wanted to take on the trip and just had an idea about rolling my clothes (long ways like a log) instead of folding them. I think I've heard of other people doing this to prevent their clothes from being wrinkled when they get to their destination.
What do you think about that idea? Have you done it?

My sister has done this whenever she's travelled! She's gotten quite good at it. Unfortunately I can't ask her for any tips for you because she's away until tomorrow. I've tried it & was far less successful. I know she folds the cloths at least once because otherwise they wouldn't fit into the suitcase. I just don't remember which way. I think she does hers the short way though. :confused3

I think military roll their clothes. Dh's employee is able to roll a dress shirt and not have a wrinkle in it when he gets to his destination. He said he learned it in the military.
I for one cant get the hang of it but there is alot less wrinkles if I roll them into logs first, plus it takes up less room

I lay all the clothes on top of each other and roll them all together, with the clothes most likely to wrinkle on the outside. It works perfectly every time. I've even rolled busines suits and dresses and they travel without getting crushed.

Definately roll. You can fit way more in your suitcase and it comes out not wrinkled!! Started to do this when we went on our 1st cruise and have done it ever since. Another tip is to stuff socks into shoes too!! And always, always, pack some of everyones clothes into each suitcase that way if a suitcase is lost you will all have some clothes!! Trust me they rarely lose all the suitcases and it will be the one suitcase that you can't do without!!

I know I am too late for this trip -
but I ALWAYS roll -
I even roll the kids different outfits for each day into gallon size zip-locks!
DH's best friend even rolls his clothes now in his locker at work ;) lol (he is a prison guard)

I roll our clothes. I lay down a shirt (folded in half-side to side with arm folded in) shorts on top, and a pair of underwear and socks. It is so easy to grab an outfit each day and with the shirts on the outside it is easy to choose our outfits since almost all of our shorts are jeans.

I folded our clothes for our last trip, but rolled them for the return trip. I was amazed at how much room I had in the suitcase on the way home. It was packed on the way there and I was wondering how I would have room for souvies, but after rolling them, I had room for my souvies. Actually I had lots of extra room, but unfortunately we had to catch a flight so I couldn't go shop for more. :rotfl2:
