Leaving the kids at home!

We went for our honeymoon in 1991........been many times with the kids since then, just got back in March, dh didn't get to make that trip. Now, in November for our 15th anniversary we are going back w/o the kids. We are going to wait awhile to tell them. I don't think I can listen to it for 7 months that we aren't taking them. We are taking my MIL & FIL. They have NEVER been to DW. I just can't imagine. We are going to do as much as possible and take our time!

Since they are doing free dining again, my DH and I are thinking of going for 4 days at the end of Sept for an early anniversary trip - our actual anniversary is Oct 15. We went last Sept with our 2 DDs. We told them we were thinking of going away for a few days and if we did they would have to stay at grandma's - haven't told them yet that we're thinking of going to Disney. My DH suggested a short trip for just the 2 of us, he asked me where I wanted to go, and the only place I really want to go is WDW. I'm also looking for romantic things for us to do - I also posted on the restaurant board for suggestions for dinner.

I think the main thing is when you are going in alone with that significant other is that you (as we all do) need to take it a little slower. When we are with our families we are always moving, always going fast fast fast...because of this, I have an annual park hopper pass so that we can spend part of our day here and part of our day there...I mean it's Disney, it does revolve around childhood, so if you want a tuly romantic dinner, check out victoria and alberts...VERY HIGH PRICED...but worth it...if you dont want to spend that much check out le cellier or coral reef at epcot...but again, I dont mean to harp on this but, take your time. There is just so much to see and enjoy that we dont get to with the children...this, to me, can be the most romantic, special part of the trip...GOOD LUCK HAVE FUN...

For our 25th Anniv. a few years back we had dinner in the Cinderella Castle with the fireworks going off in the background.....you can't get more romantic than that!

After dinner on the way out, we went through Haunted Mansion before the park closed. Quite a combination I'd say!
