Leaving something at a resort for another guest

We will be checking out of Pop the day before friends check in. It is their first visit and I was thinking of leaving some little gifts for the kids (from Mickey of course). What do I need to do? Any specific way I have to have this packaged? Any suggestions are appreciated.

We left a "care package" of leftover snacks and drinks we had in our room when we left the Yacht Club last year and a friend was checking in that night. All I did was package it all in a Disney gift shop bag and bring to the front desk. They labeled the package with the guests name and handed it off when they checked in. It worked very smoothly.

Make sure you let your friend know that you've left something for them so they'll know to ask if the CM checking them in doesn't catch it. I had that happen once when I left some gifts for my brother's kids. Now I remember to let them know to ask.

A couple of years ago, we checked out 3 weeks before my best friend's first trip to the World. As her check inn was on her birthday I wanted to give her a gift, I asked her husband their confirmation # gave it a cast member at the check inn with the check inn date, he put a nite on the package and when they checked inn her husband said they had a package waiting for them. She got her gift, called me crying, she could not beleive it! It was at POP
