Counting down the days, leaving on Virgin Atlantic vso27 from Gatwick
this sunday.
Myself, my wife, son and daughter and grandparents. My children who are 4 and 8, don`t yet know that their grandparents are coming, they are going to
be so excited .
We are staying at Port Orleans Riverside, originally it was to be ASMO, but
Virgin advised of works to the pool, so upgraded us for a small fee.
We live in GUERNSEY,so it means we leave here on saturday, and stay overnight at Gatwick. W e can`t chance leaving here on the sunday,if there
was fog we would miss our Virgin flight. Its only a small stretch of water to the u.k, but it sure adds a lot of cost to a holiday.

A small question for someone who has recently flown, we have Samsonite cases with tumbler locks on them, but my wife has heard, that we can`t
lock our case as it may need to be checked once out of our possesion.
Is that right ?

Thanks
Dave :hourglass :cool1:

Have fun!

You can lock your cases but if US security decides to check your luggage then they will break the lock and leave a note in your case. We used TSA approved locks that US security can open with a master key so they dont break them, Perhaps you could pick one up at the airport, we ordered ours online but thats a bit late for you now!

Hi, on our first trip to WDW I sat next to a lady who had come from Jersey, we got chatting and it turned out we had left home at exactly the same time that morning and I had only travelled from London :rotfl:

Have a great holiday

Jan

Hope you have a great time!

You can buy the TSA locks in loads of places, Homebase, B&Q, Debenhams etc.

we are flying out on Sunday as well from Belfast
but taking the long way down :guilty:

we have to stop over in New York for 3 days first then have to get on the Disney Wonder for another 3 days
life is tough :rotfl2:
so we will be at POR on the following Sunday

you never know we might walk right past you

Have a great trip :wizard:

How's the packing going

Have a good trip. We are also staying in POR from 28th Oct to 11th Nov.
Might see you there!

Where are you staying at Gatwick? Dh & I fly from there when we go to Las Vegas next year.

We are staying at the Gatwick Hilton, which is joined to the airport, it would
probably be cheaper to stay at an hotel outside the airport, but there will be enough to do organising 2 children on sunday, to make sure we are not late, without having to worry, will the taxi arrive, will we be stuck in traffic.

Dave

i notice from yahoo weather that it`s a lovely 90 degrees at the moment,
but dropping to 77 on tuesday !!!!!

Well its 7.50am. and we are leaving for the airport, a year of waiting
and now its all a rush. Children are just going to find out that grandparents
are coming, at the moment they want to sit by me on the flight, bet that will
change.

see you soon

Dave  :cheer2: :Pinkbounc :dance3:
