Leaving on Saturday!!! Just changed ressies - am I crazy?

We were booked at OKW from 5/5 thru 5/12. I was on the wait list for VWL, but that never came thru.
I called yesterday andwas told that there is availablility the last 4 nights of our trip at VWL. So I took it!!

Am I crazy to transfer durring our vacation? They said it was very easy to do, when we check out at OKW, just let them know to transfer our luggage to VWL.

I know some of you do this, please tell me your experiences.

Switching resorts is pretty easy to do. Just let Bell Services know and they will help you move, store and transfer your luggage. If you have perishables, they will also refrigerate them until transferred.

I like to let the "new" resort know the day before that I'll be moving and ask them for any early availability consideration. I also go over there right after checking out of the 1st resort and again "remind" them that you are "homeless" and would appreciate any help getting your room as soon as possible. (Of course, this all MUST be done with a huge smile on your face and twinkle in your eye!)

Sometimes, they will find a room for you quickly and sometimes it still isn't ready until 4, but the transfer is relatively painless and does allow you to try another resort. Enjoy!

We once transferred from BWV to OKW - hassel free. Bell Services took the luggage at BW - we hit the parks - showed up at OKW and checked in. The only thing you have to watch is using up perishables before you switch.

One last question - do you check in for VWL at the main Lodge? Or is there a separate check in area for the Villas.
