Have 4 GAD...(2A,2C):goodvibes and had planned on using 2 A GAD and upgrading those to 8 day tickets. Originally planned to upgrade 1 Child GAD and use the last child GAD for FP at DHS on a Star Wars weekend. My sister just got back and said it was crazy busy. Now thinking I should use another GAD for MK FP. Going back and forth on it....

TIA

I think the GAD FPs are priceless...since you can't buy them. We always lean toward our time being more valuable. We got a taste of it last year when we visited the DVC Center and for our time they gave us FP cards for everyone in our party...good for three rides. If you haven't done a DVC tour I highly recommend it. They will come to your resort and pick you up (they have continental b-fast), they have child care services (with lots to do and snacks), when you're done (about 90 minutes later), you all get free hand scooped ice cream sundaes and a free group photo. Then they will take you to any park of your choosing...right to the front (it was nice getting dropped off right in front of MK). We loved the "VIP" FPs...they were very helpful. If you are thinking about going with DVC on the same trip, hold off signing until another day...they gave us more VIP FPs for only about 30 minutes of time.

A kid's ticket is worth, what... about $65??? Take the number of people in your party times 6 attractions (which is my understanding of the number of attractions you choose in total). With 4 in your party times 6 attractions, that's 24 fast pass tickets. Is it worth $2 to $3 per ride to walk up and immediately enter the fast pass line? Keep in mind you can also collect and use regular fastpasses still at the same time.

If you were going in a dead time, I'd definitely pass on the FP option and go with the ticket discount. But in the summer, I'd go FP in a heartbeat.

We're using ours in DL next month and are using one on each of the 2 days we are visiting the parks.

Have fun. What a great way to get stuff done during SWW!

I wavered back and forth on this issue myself. We decided that we want this to be the best trip possible, so we're using the FP option for all of our vouchers. The more I read about their convenience, the more I was convinced this is the right plan for us. Plus now we can not be too worried if we miss some rope drops. The sleepy heads in my party are very happy about that!

I am so confused myself that I am no help to you......I cant decide if I should use my GAD for fastpasses or save for my November trip when I will need to renew my AP.......:confused3

We also had that dilemia our AP's our up in September and we always go then but we are on the fence this year since we are moving our week long trip to May (this week, wooohooo). So there is like a 20% chance we wont come down in September, we discussed it and decided if there is any chance we won't come down in September to renew our AP's in person that we should go ahead and use our GAD's for FP's in May so as not to waste them completely. If we don't make it back in person before December then they expire and go to waste.

We have been the past two weekends and both were very crowded. Expect this weekend to be even more crowded with SSW and FL Res. Dream pass holders trying to use up passes before they expire 5/25. I would definitely go with the FP if you will be at any of the parks this weekend, (except maybe AK?)

Thanks everyone....I'm glad I'm not the only one wavering, and when you figure out the "price per pass" it seems like thats the way to go when it's busy!!

That's what made it a slam dunk for us too. Think of ALL the money you spend getting there. Why NOT spend that tiny bit more per pass to access all your favorite rides an extra time so easily! :thumbsup2 I asked myself..... would I spend $3 at the gate for an immediate fastpass? And the answer was a hands down yes, every time!
