Any tips for me?
We have never taken them to Disney before but we have flown with them before.
Oh and yup, I am taking my stroller! :thumbsup2
Thanks!

That would have been my #1 advice - take your stroller.

You'll have a great time - Disney is so family friendly!

Don't try to do everything - enjoy it all.

Hello, we have three year old twins also. We are going the week after you and this will be their third trip. My best advice is take it slow and find some down time each day for rest. Even if it isn't napping maybe just swimming in the pool. I loved disney last year seeing it through the eyes of my two year old girls. I can't wait for this year!!! Have a wonderful time!

Take it easy - enjoy the trip! Remember the memories are for you, not really them! This past trip was my twins 5th trip! They love each time! just slow & steady & it will be fun. Make a list of the must do's & try to get them done early so they are off your list - everything else is gravy then!

No twins here, but my grandson's are only 8 days apart! So it's very much like having twins when they are together.
They will be 10 months old when we go in Jan, and one has a 2.5 year old brother too.
Have a wonderful time, enjoy them!;)

Have a wonderful vacation! Just take it slow and enjoy every minute with your little girls. I remember when Dh and I took our oldest when they were 3 yrs old. We went on the Winnie the Pooh ride a million times, but they were sooo happy, and so were we. Now my kids are 9, 9, 5 & 2. I have the best memories of them on that first trip!
Have a great trip together

How fun is that? To have a built in best friend to take to Disney with you to experience it all? No twins in my bunch, just 6 sigletons but they all love Disney no matter what age. Let your girls set the pace, get to Fantasyland first thing (rope drop) and let them ride Dumbo. I promise you they will never forget that first ride. My now DS5 still remembers it and he was 2 the first time he rode! He also remembers so many things without us prompting him or showing pictures, it is really amazing what a first trip is like through their eyes.

When they point in wonder at something, stop and be amazed with them.

My DD3 is going back (her 4th trip, I know!) next week and she is crazy excited to see the princesses and Minnie again and when I ask her about the rides, she says oh yeah the rides too. When I ask her her favortie part? She says I like Ariel show and seeing the princesses. And what about eating dinner and breakfast? She says oh yeah, I liked seeing Minnie cook my food and the princesses! hehehe. I guess we'd have to say the PRINCESSES. I think the "real face" characters appeal to her more then the "head" ones but she does love her hugs from Minnie. Don't miss the Beauty and Beast stage show over in DHS, they will be enchanted for sure.

Sorry so long, my baby girl has definitly got the whole Disney thing down. She will definitely crash for an hour or more in her stroller everyday or back at resort so just do your adult things then, sipping a special drink or soaking up the surroundings, or child swapping for a more adult ride.

You will have a grand time.

Hi, advice from another twin mommy. As the others have said-let the kids set the pace. We have taken the twins twice now, and are going in November again. The first trip they were 8 months old. It was FANTASTIC! We also had a 14 month old nephew with us. Then last year when the twins were 2 (the week of turing 3) we took them again. While mommy didn't have the best time (twin 3 year olds and a 1 year old-very hectic), the kids LOVED it. I was not very easy on myself and wanted to push too much on naps and such, when what I really needed to do was chill out. The kids really did enjoy themselves and even did stuff I fully expected them not to, like the Haunted Mansion. My dausghter still talks about the ghost sitting on her lap. Just know their limitations, like sitting in the stroller, sitting in a restaurant, how much rest they actually need, ect. And take it at their pace. You will really enjoy it.

This year we are going with just the twins, my daycare provider is keeping the 1 year old. We are only doing it this way, so that my full attention can be on the twins and what they want to do. My dh is in Korea for a year, so it has been super tough on the twins. I want to give them some mommy/me time. So we have decided to not take the baby with us (my parents are going with me to help with the twins). We hope to go overseas next for 3 years, so this may be the twins last trip for quite some time.

ENJOY your trip.

sage10 and kileybeth, you both brought tears to my eyes. Thanks for such kind, beautiful words. I will take them with me to Disney! :grouphug:

Have a great trip! I would bring lots of little snacks/treats while waiting in lines. Make sure you take naps, they will be worn out from walking and overstimulation. Spend time in the pool -- they'll enjoy that almost as much as the parks. Remember to allow time for them to just wander and explore, pick up rocks, chase ducks, jump of curbs.... wear comfortable shoes. Take tons of pictures, use photopass so you can be in the pictures too..

Hi fellow New Yorker

We took our 4 year old twins 3 years ago and had a wonderful time. We would get to the parks when they open than leave about noon and go back to our resort for lunch and swimming for alittle down time. This really helped because than we were able to go back in the evening for fireworks.

Stroller is a must:)

Our twins loved interacting with the characters and getting autographs.
We did a couple of character meals and they had the best time.

Take it slow. September is a great time of year to go, not too crowded.

Have a fun and magical time. (We'll be there next friday with our now 7 year old twins)

Just wanted to add my two cents and agree with all of the other posters. Especially about letting them set the pace, when you try and push too hard or too much thats when melt downs occur! We had two single strollers, rather than a double stroller, because for us, thats what works for us. One of our girls is a "difficult" child, and needs time to herself...so thats when Daddy would take her for a walk. It works because then the "NOT difficult" one doesn't have to miss out on things just because her sister is acting up!! But, to see the looks in their eyes when they meet Cinderella, makes it all worth it!

If you asked our (just turned) three year olds, they would say their favorite part of Disney World was the Princess breakfast in Norway at Epcot and
The Voyage of the Little Mermaid

MJAHMOM, oh my goodness! yes the snacks how could I have forgotten that tip? a nice snack appopriately timed is a sure hit or grace for the grumpies!

We also use wedding favor bubbles! we use them in line to make the minutes pass faster and to give away to other tired children looking for something to help them through a rough moment.

OP do remember to come back and tell us how it all goes!

KEMDisney those are the most adorable girls! We also used two single strollers so we could go our seperate ways every now and again but also I could hook them together if I got left with the 2 little ones as DH went off with older kids. Worked like a charm.

SAGE10 Thank your DH for serving for all of us! His sacrifice (and yours and the kids) is huge and I appreciate it. Have a great trip.

Hi,
My twins just turned 6 and we are taking them and our 3.5 y.o. daughter to wdw in Oct. This will be the twins' fourth trip....the only thing i have to add to all the great advice is 1. i don't know how solidly your twins are toilet trained but if they are only 3 i'd definitely consider bringing extra underwear and some pants or leggings etc. with them to the park...there's so much to see it's easy to forget about going potty....

2. bring a notebook and write down what yo did every day and cute things the girls said did...trust me you won't remember in 3 months....

3. you cannot take enough pictures...

4. bring the anti-bacterial gel you can get for like $1 at target...bring lots of it...interestingly enough a lot of the bathrooms have sinks that are too high for 3 year olds and they are probably heavy enough that lifting them is going to get to be very heavy after a while so this is a great alternative..also, they touch EVERYTHING so it's a good thing to have.

5. even if they're toilet trained, bring wipes...it makes after meal clean up easy easy.

6. Splurge and get the photopass cd and get your pic taken at every opportunity with the photopass photographers...these are some of the only pics we have of all 5 of us together. We've done it and it's TOTALLY worth it.
hth and above all else, go at their pace and HAVE FUN!
:)SSS
