At the end of our stay at the WDW we're going on a 3 night Disney Cruise. We don't feel like taking all our luggage along, so would it be possible to leave some of our suitcases behind with bell services at SSR and then pick them up when we get back from the cruise?

I started to say that would be fine until I realised that you wouldn't actually be returning to WDW to stay when you finished your cruise. For that reason, I'm not sure what the policy would be since you are, technically, no longer a disney resort guest. We have had no problem leaving luggage behind but that was when we were staying at another resort after our cruise. Having said that, I don't suppose there is any way that they would know that you weren't stayng so I can't see it being a major problem.

Your best bet is just to ask when you check in.

That is what I was going to say.

i emailed disney about this last year and the official line is no due to security reasons. but i've heard people on here saying they've done it, so i think its down to the discretion of the bell services people

They said the same to us when we went in May. We wanted to leave Golf clubs there and the email response was a definate no. But i do know people that have done it?!

But if we'd stay again after we come back they would keep them? :confused3
We have an extra night in Florida after the cruise, haven't decided where to spend it yet.

Yes if you are staying onsite when you get back from your cruise, they will store & transfer them to the resort you are returning too.

Might consider staying that last night there then :)

We left our luggage with Bell services last year when we went to Memphis for 3 nights, and they transferred them to the resort we were returning to.

Hi there,

We have done the same at various resorts over a number of years, simply phone bell services and ask for one to be held for a few days, handover a tip and get a receipt tag and you are off to Castaway Cay.

Its not a problem to have them transfered to a different resort either.
