I am leaving for DW in two weeks. Normally I would not be freaking out. However, this is our first trip with our son who is 2 1/2. I have no idea what to pack, how to pack, what not to forget. Please help! We are shipping a box ahead of time to help with having to worry about so many pieces of luggage. But what did you find was a must pack item on your trips?

Children's Tylenol, Children's Allergy medicine.
These are hard to find and when you do- they are very expensive.

these kinds of tips are perfect!!! Keep them coming! It is so hard to think about what to bring with a kid. And you don't want to forget anything.

Make sure you have sunblock/sunscreen, small portable umbrella and or ponchos, any medication (including over-the-counter) that family members may need, toothbrushes and toothpaste, a couple of extra t's in case of rain. At least one or two sweatshirts (evenings can get a little chilly, especially for the youngsters). Deodorant, cosmetics, life's little essentials you will not want to do without.

We'll be there in 11 days. I'd rather have too much than too little. Too little means endless trips to find stuff, you should have remembered in the first place. Make a list of what you use around the house and can't do without. When you pack, check it twice and you should be good to go. I can now pack in my sleep and believe I have done that.

Have a wonderful trip!!!!!

:rotfl: TYLENOL ( yes ASPRIN..lol.... or whatever you call it!!!) i *LOVE* DISNEY but will all the CROWDS and NOISE i tend to take a few tylenols 1st thing in the am...................

Dawn dish wipes to clean your refillable mug. Also, shout wipes to clean up those little messes during the day. No one wants that mickey bar showing up later when viewing your photo pass pics.

If your little guy wears diapers you might want to get those diaper bags to diapose of the dirty diapers. They have them at Target for a few bucks and they come on a little roll.

Pack what you think you will need and rest assured that you can buy anything that you forget. In July we forgot the kids' toothbrushes. I had everything else but the toothbrushes. I wouldn't worry too much.

Disposable rain ponchos. I bought a supply at Target (in their camping section) for about 79 cents each. They're small enough to tuck into a pocket, fanny pack, etc.

I was sooooooo glad I had one the night before Hurricane Wilma! Went into Maelstrom to go on the boat ride; it was nice, calm (though overcast) weather. In the 15 minutes we were on the ride, the skies opened up and we had the worst rainstorm I have ever experienced. Sideways rain, rain that literally bounced up from the ground, huge puddles --- you name it, we had it.

I was so glad to have my 79-cent poncho - the others in our group had to buy the more expensive Mickey ponchos (at about $8 or $9 a pop). When I was done with mine, I threw it away! Great investment.

How about those drops for your toddler's ears after swimming? I think it'd be a real pain to have to run out and find those from a resort. Someone listed a camcorder, etc., but you asked about what to ship in a box, right? I'd never ship something that valuable! Diapers, wipes, disposable bibs, some of those medicated suckers for sore throats, a nightlight, etc. Those are the things I'd ship. Then, make sure that you have plenty of toys and snacks for the plane. It should be easier now that you can buy drinks after you pass security at the airport and carry them on board! Have a great trip! :goodvibes
