What is the best way to get extra snacks out of the DDP? I think we will need a lot of water and some breakfast items or afternoon snacks but don't want to pay OOP very often. Can you exchange dessert at a TS for water or something like that? If we share meals, can we somehow use those credits for those things? I guess I don't know what can be exchanged for what!:confused3

I am sure others have addressed this question but my days are jam packed with little time to read long threads. THANKS so much for the help!

You can't exchange dessert at a TS for anything else. You can ask for fruit or an alternative dessert.

If you want to get water, you can get a cup of ice water for free from any counter service.

You can get a large bottle of water with every cs meal....You can get frozen beverages with snack credits, and as other posters mentioned, you can get free ice water anywhere. Most people have more than enough to eat and drink on DDP, but if you want to ship a case of water, you should!

I ask for ice water at the CS. If you don't like the taste of Florida water bring some flavor packages to add.

I like getting a Dole Whip Float as it is a drink and ice cream like dessert in one.

I agree with pp...if you get a bottled water as your beverage at CS places, but then also ask for a cup of ice water (to actually eat with your meal) - then you'd have the bottle of water to have while in the park.

Even with buying water with the occassional snack credit - we found that we had plenty to go around (family of 4 - and we never bought 4 bottles - just 1 or two to share). We just weren't hungry enough to use them on other things a lot of days.

Thanks so much for your advice! How did you carry the water in the park without feeling weighted down? We are a family of 4. Right now I plan to use a drawstring bag but am not sure that will work. A backpack sounds too bulky and sweaty. Any ideas?

Try the tips board. There is a whole thread dedicatd to the right bag for the parks and most of them have some kind of water bottle holder. Some posters have added pictures too so it is a huge help.
