I know there are things I'm not thinking of even though I've been scouring posts for tips. Does anyone have any 'must know' tips for our trip.

We are leaving in 3 weeks for the BC!!

So far the tips I'm following are:
-bringing our own double jogging stroller
-renting cribs from abbf.com
-following twins schedule as much as possible

The only thing I can think of is small toys and such for when they get tired of the stroller. I have 4 year old twins, and we have been twice so far. Just keep to their routine as much as possible. Not sure if you have read it on this board, but a good idea is to pack a diaper, some wipes, and changing pad into individual ziploc bags. This helps make it quick for changing. Any favorite snack you can put into a ziploc. That is all I can come up with. HAVE FUN! we are goiing in November and I can't wait.

We had a spectacular experience using Kid's Nite out (in room babysitting service) with our 24 month old. Since his bedtime is usually 7pm, it was a nice way for the rest of the family (DW, DS9) to enjoy Disney after hours.

We did use ABBF for full-size crib rental. DS2 slept much better than he normally would in a pack-n-play. We also rented a single jogging stroller from them which we used all around the Disney. It's so much easier to use than the smaller ones (especially since I'm tall)

Good luck and have fun!

I second the tip on preparing "diaper change kits" before heading into the parks for the day...having all the necessary supplies in a single ziplock bag made changes so much quicker & easier, no need to drag the whole diaper bag out from under the stroller and into the restroom.

I've only got one child, but she's been four times, ranging in age from 5 months to 20 months, and we're heading back in November. Sticking to the schedule as much as you can is really the key for WDW with little ones. If they eat at pretty much the same times and sleep at pretty much the same times as they do at home they'll be better able to handle the stimulation onslaught. And when you head back to the hotel for the twins' nap, take one yourself! There were plenty of days when DD was fresh as a daisy in the afternoon and I was dragging.

Just be prepared to go with the flow, set a relaxed pace, and enjoy getting to see WDW through their eyes...these trips with DD have been some of the best times I've ever had, noticing all the little details because she sees them (and points them out, typically squealing at the top of her little lungs :rotfl: ).

Have a great trip!

Plan on taking breaks. It is amazing how a 20 or 30 minute break will help you and the kids.

Hi,
I have 6 year old twins and we are leaving in 3 weeks too for our 4th trip together as a family (we now also have another little girl who is going to be 4 in dec.)...the first trip we took was when the twins were 14 months and we had a BLAST....my best advice on top of what you already have is:
a. bring plastic bags...Babies R Us has those blue plastic bags in a little round holder thing and sometimes at target you can find them in teeny packs of ten...you just never kno when those babies will come in handy.
b. absolutely spend the money for the disposable bibs, spoons, and sippy cups...so worth it! The sippy cups I would save sometimes and clean them in the room when my supply ran low BUT in general things to take and toss are AWESOME
On the subject of things to throw away, we bought a big box of cheerios and brought a load with us to the parks every day....fabulous decision for snack time and so convenient.
c. have LOTS of wipes...when we took the kids at 14 months it was during food and wine festival and we took the opportunity to let them try all sorts of foods...in short, they are a great quick way to clean dirty/sticky hands and faces.
d. if you aren't staying at a monorail resort but are staying on property rent a car...
e. don't be afraid to take them out for dinner...we took the girls to CA Grill and flying fish and while we were lucky that they behaved themselves, the staff were very accomodating (of course, we took them at like 5pm) and it so wasn't a problem.
f. Food and wine festival is a great win win for every body....you can take your time, there's lots of chances for the babies to walk around and look at interesting things and you and your spouse get to try lots of food and wine... especially if they nap!
g. Take lots and lots of pictures and then take some more. Use the photopass people as much as you can...those are some of the only pics we have with all of us...we were so glad we spent the money to buy the cd and i would recommend it, especially for a family with twins.
IN short, just don't be afraid...we originally went to disney world because we couldn't think of a more child friendly place to vacation and we were absolutely correct!
Have fun!
:)sss
