We're driving down from Alberta Canada (for the 4th time!) Very excited about this trip!!! Have a few last minute questions for all you experts!

These are my days, do they make sense?

Day 1 - Monday - Disneyland
Day 2 - Tuesday - California Adventure
Day 3 - Thursday - both
Day 4 - Friday - both
Day 5 - Sunday - both

We will do our early morning on Thursday at DL. There will be 6 of us. Me and my beautiful wife, daughters 4 and 3, and my wife's parents (they came with us 2 years ago and had such a good time they asked to join us again!)

We've done pretty much everything and I am a Disney junkie so have been on these boards and doing research for years!!! I love DISNEYLAND!!!

That being said, here's a few questions I don't know about.

1.) How is the new show at Goldenhorse shoe? I hear it is more an interactive game then a show? Confused :confused3

2.) Is there a place to go watch the logs landing on splash mountain. I once read about going down behind somewhere? I'm an absent minded professor type and can't remember or find where I read it. Anyone?

3.) Red Wood Creek Challenge - is there anything here for 3 and 4 year old girls? Can't believe I have never seen in here (only place in the park I'm sure!!!

4.) Any sightings of Pocahontas lately? Both my girls are adopted and aboriginal and would love to get her to sign their book and take a pic!!!

Thanks all, sooooooo excited I'm having trouble sleeping. Can't wait to see my girls faces again!!! One has been (twice in the last 2 years) but our second daughter joined our family just last year and has never been but is completely in love with Minnie!!!

How exciting!
1. I would also love to find out what's going on at Golden Horseshoe as we didn't take time to go in this visit. Right now there is a jail set up outside and a CM told me that they do little games, play tricks on people, send people on errands, and put bad people in jail during the day (they were closing down when I talked to her - I think it was around 5pm.) You can't get inside the jail for photo op (unless maybe you're lucky enough to be "bad"? - not sure if that's only for CMs though) but they'll take your pic outside.
2. You can take a photo of the drop right in front of where the standby line stops. You can see the logs floating by (after the drop?) from the canoes but I don't remember whether you can see the actual drop from the canoes.
3. Redwood Creek Challenge is one of my kids' favorite places and we've been going forever - yes, it's fun for 3-4-yr-olds! I am now able to let my big kids run around together but you will probably get lots of exercise following them up and down the nets! They can't wear flip flops on the rock climbing wall (it's more a 1 foot high ledge they walk across.) They may be too little for the tire zipline - I can't remember whether there is a height requirement. There's a show with the Up characters, a treasure hunt map, cave where you find your spirit character, creek where they do rubber ducky races (they weren't doing it when we wreere there this week though), and fun slides.
4. We have never met Pocahontas but anything's possible!
ETA: I just remembered that Pocahontas is in Mickey's Magical Map! There is not a meet & greet but you can see her on stage!
Have fun!

2. If you go by the dock where Harbor's Galley is, there's a little path that you can see the logs coming out from the big hill in splash. So if you are looking at Harbor's Galley (soup in a bread bowl place across from exit of HM), go to the right. There are stairs that lead up to the path. Sometimes the Columbia is docked there if it is not in use.

How did I NOT know this? I'm having a hard time picturing the stairs - does anyone have a picture? My daughter wants to check it out.

I haven't seen any Pocahontas meet and greets but she does have a fairly good sized solo song in Mickey and The Magic Map show.
