Depending on how long you are going you may want to thow out the perishables in your fridge-you don't want to come home to anything green and yucky!

I always make sure that all the toys are picked up, beds made, hampers empty, etc. before I leave. Coming home from WDW is sad enough, but coming home to a messy house is horrible.

We also stop daily delivery of newspapers. My DH shuts off water to outside of the house and to one of the bathroom sinks (he's afraid that one will leak for some reason).
