I'm flying out of Newark airport, are you STILL not allowed liquid in a carry on? I can't find out anywhere, does anyone know?
THANKS!
If not, there's no point to even bringing a carry on! I put all my toiletries in there.

As far as I've heard the "no liquids" rule still applies.

Good luck!

i have not heard anything different either...no liquids, gels, or creams.

I'm so jealous...74 days for me...
:guilty:

You can get the latest info from the TSA on their website www.tsa.gov
Have a great trip! I guess the TSA has rules against our sneaking into your suitcase to go to WDW, huh... too bad.
Oh well, enjoy your trip and come back to DISboards to fill us in on all of your fun!!!

Let me try to convince you to bring a carry-on, anyway, even without toiletries.

I view a carry-on bag as a type of travel insurance in case the airline delays my luggage. I can still have some of my clothes, my camera, my travel documents, etc. with me and under my control at all times. Let's say I have a reservation for a nice dinner my first night in WDW, but my luggage is delayed. If I take my dinner clothes in my carry-on, I can still enjoy dinner. Or what if I want to swim during that first relaxing afternoon or evening, but my luggage is delayed. If I take my swim stuff in my carry-on, I can still enjoy the pool. And what if my luggage is delayed overnight? I can pack my kids' jammies in their carry-ons so they can still sleep comfortably even if the airline flew my checked luggage to MCI instead of MCO.

No matter where I fly, I always pack my carry-on with EVERYTHING I need for the first 24 hours. Now that we can't pack most toiletries, my wife and I are shipping/mailing some toiletries to ourselves at our resort. WDW resorts will hold shipped/mailed packages for free for up to 5 days. I'll ship my small box of toiletries to arrive at POFQ about 2-3 days before we do -- that way, I can call before we leave and confirm it is there waiting for us.

That's a good idea, I didn't even think about that. I should pack my bathing suit in there, camera & a change of clothes. Thanks!!
I can't wait to go, I've been waiting since January and now 9 days left!

I too was thinking about not bringing a carryon untill I started thinking about what I could pack in it. My cosmetics that are not liquid (99% are powdered), medications, travel pillow, book, snack, camera and travel documents. That is plenty to put in a carryon. Plus I will have the carryon for any last minute items I buy at WDW on our last day.

Have a great trip we are following you the next day.!!

Bev

I just got back from my trip to the world and there is still no liquids allowed, but boy do I miss WDW already!!!! MNSSHP is really neat youll love it if you see it!!

Adam1217 - did you see an laptops or iPods? I'd like to bring a laptop (not a necessity tho) and my DD is lost without her iPod. I'd hate to pack that in checked luggage so if she can't bring it in a carrryon, she has to leave it home. :confused3

I also pack a ton in my carry-on luggage. Bathing suits, my Passporter with all of our ADR confirmation #'s, camera, clothes, etc. This time around I plan on buying some stuff once there such as toothbrushes, toothpaste, sunblock, etc. It's less we have to pack and we go grocery shopping anyway since we stay at the VWL. :) 9 more days!

Unless your iPod or laptop contain liquids or gels :lmao: , you can still take them into the airplane cabin same as before. The ONLY new carry-on restrictions are on liquids and gels. NOTHING MORE!

We leave in 10 days and last time I checked the airport websites it was still no liquids. I know Atlanta and MCO in Orlando don't allow it .....It sucks but what can we do I told my DD to wear a hat and sleeves until we have access to our luggage so she dosen't get burned. I'm gonna try to apply the 24 hour sunscreen before we leave and hope it will work out till I can get my sunscreen out of lockdown...... :confused3

Can't you still to the stick kind? I thought that you could take stick lipstick, but nothing that is like petrolleum jelly texture.
Of course, I could be wrong, but check into that.

ETA: I looked at that sight and I'd take a stick of sunscreen if sun exposure is a big thing. If you can't take it with you, throw it away. I got one at the Dollar Tree.

My husband has to carry around an Epipen for allergy emergencies and I just thought, can he bring that on the plane!??!?? He needs it desperately, he could die from an allergy attack!

Electronics were not allowed on international flights. But domestic is allowing them.
I bring my laptop and camera. Those two are about $4K total and never leave my side. Marcie also brings her camera bag, laptop and CPAP breather.

our last trip we were flagged SSSS (super special security search). It was just a patdown and was actualy a shorter line than the regular security lines. (no complaints from us on airline security, or any security) We were also flagged for our return trip. Which meant no ME luggage check when leaving the resort. DW's back was hurting the whole trip and now we had to haul our luggage through the airport to the airline counter.
I do not understand, we checked our luggage at the airline check-in before we were again super special security searched.??? They can still scan and snif and open-search our bags before they are put on the plane. it was typical for the whole vacation.
