I'm leaving for WDW in four days for a week. This is the longest vaction I have ever been on with 2 kids (ages 4 and 21/2) My lists have list but of course my big concern is that I have everything I need to make a wonderful scrapbook when I return (LOL Scrapping is really a sickness) as well as one for my mom who is flying down the last 4 days.

Here is what I have :
16 rolls of color film
3 rolls of black and white films
2 cameras
2 extra batteries for my cameras
7x7 CM decorated scrapbook for autographs and black pen
A Ziplock bag to hold ticket stubs ect..

Can you all think of anthing else??

Will they let me take pictures on the plane? It is also the kids first flight.

I take pics on planes all the time :) Sometimes you can get some nice pics out the windows. (I have a really cool one of the coast of France, from a trip BC - before children ;)) Our upcoming trip will also be my girls' first time to fly and I plan on doing a scrapbook page of just the flight.

For your autograph book, make sure your black pen is scrapbook quality. I got the new round pens from CM - they come in pastels too :) Perfect for princess autographs! Of course, if you have boys, you wouldn't want pastels, but I think the bright colors come in round tip too :) Just a thought for more color in the book :)

The only other thing I'd add to your list is a disposable waterproof camera. Even if you're not going to the waterparks, I'm sure your kids will find the resort pool ;) You don't want to miss out of the splashing in the water pics because you didn't want to ruin your good camera (although I know there are "good" cameras that are waterproof) I've been really pleased with the quality of the disposable waterproof cameras. A Note of Warning, however - they are 800 speed film which MUST be handchecked!!! It CANNOT go through even the carry-on xray machine. I learned this here on the DIS from an airport screener.

Another tip - I have my film developed at Snapfish. There are lots of other mail order places, too, Clark, Ifoto, etc. I am taking mailers with me so I can mail my film off right away. Not only will I get my pics back sooner, but I'll have no worries about the exposed film getting ruined at the airport. I've heard of people who were refused hand-inspection, although I understand they're not *supposed* to be able to refuse. This way, it won't be an issue :)

Have fun!!

Laurie :)

I just wanted to say "Have a great trip"!! :):) Can't wait to hear all about it when you get back! :)

I second buying a disposable water camera. They are so expensive any more! So stock up before you go! Especially if you plan to go to the water parks.

I also think it is wise to take a large envelope to put the extra stuff in, menues ( pick up the little cards at the info. stations.) Napkins, park maps etc...Then write on the outside of the envel. what trip this is. If you are like me I am always behind and have all this junk and forget to use it in the SB!
Get extra fast passes
Alway get the photo picture claim tickets!

And most important!
have a great trip and don't worry about tons of scrapping memorbilia...you will have lots of pictures to make a perfect book!

I have about 20 rolls of 800 speed film, still toying with getting b/w disposable. I'm taking my large cannon w/ extra zoom lens in addition to a small 35mm (to hand over to CM's or others to take pics). Bought my 11 yo nephew a disposable of his own, in addition to a waterproof disposable. DD (4) may take her Fisher Price camera too...whew!
I am also planning to use snapfish. Have had good luck with them and pre-ordered my film developing. With the pre-order, adding $1.99 shipping and $1 for a second set I came up with less than $6 developing per roll. An added bonus of being able to see most of them on-line by the time I get home!

Snapfish! How funny I just got something in my mailbox today about that. I think I will give it a try. I have a disposable water camera on my shopping list. How could I have forgotten that. We are staying at the All Star Movies becasue my son wanted to swim in the Mighty ducks pool!

I must remember to get their picture at check in with their new princess and buzz suitcases!

Thanks for all your help and wishes!

I like to get pics of DD's backside pulling her rolling suitcase along, would be especially cute in the airport or at check-in.
This is also her first filght...hoping attendants will still give kids a pair of wings.

I was just wondering if they still gave out wings on a child' first flight. I hope! I doubt they will be able to see the cockpit becasue of security now.

My husband just called from work and wants to get a flight out tomorrow from Dullas so we avoid Isabel. I'm glad I'm already packed.

Julianne,

I'll be there the same time! (but this timeI'm going for the first time w/o my boys!)

Where are you staying? We'll be at Coronado Springs until the 27th! Wear some lime green & maybe we'll see each other!

Have a great trip!

Aurora We are staying at All Star Movies (AKA Buzz Lightyear Hotel) I found a green bandana for the stroller so look for me.:p

We just got an early flight because of Isbele so we actaully get to leave in 4 hours!!! Gotta finishing packing!!
