Just thought I would let you all know....will let you know how it went when I get back:bounce: :Pinkbounc

I hope it is a great concert and there is just lots of good music going on.. Let us know how it goes.. :)

i saw them here in indy a few weeks ago...it was an awesome concert!! you'll have a blast!!

I am sure it will be great - can't wait to hear.:)

We are going on the 23rd!!:Pinkbounc :bounce:

I'm jealous! I couldn't get tickets to the show in
Columbus last weekend. Hope you had a great time!
mimi

Have a great time! I hope all of that drama disappears completely!

I hope that Natalie has gotten her voice back. The fans in Cleveland weren't told about the cancellation of the concert here until 30 minutes before the DC were to go on stage. :(

Every year we are in the Ypsilanti area usually it is the last of may and first of June and saw they were going to play on June 2nd on Ticketmaster.com, but this year we couldnt come up with funds to get there the price of Gas scared us. If we would have gone i would have got tickets, June 2 nd is my birthday nice present.

I was mad at them for a while but them I got to think we have freedom of speech here and that is why we are fighting is for them to have the same freedoms we do., and if we boycott or dont like them now for what they said we are hipicrites(sp?).

EXCUSE ME

I was just stating my opinion.
Last time I checked this was still a free country and a person can say what they want.

Wellllll,

since.... "Last time I checked this was still a free country and a person can say what they want."...

I would assume you are outraged by the uproar over Natalie wearing the FUTK on her shirt (which was pretty clearly in response to Toby Keith projecting a huge image of Natalie Maines shaking hands with Saddam Hussein during one of his very mature, typically jingoistic, overthetop red-white-blue tirades during one of his concerts...).

<< I'll take your side disneychrista >>

I was hoping this post wouldn't go into "that" incident. Anyway...the concert was GREAT!!! The fans were just GREAT too!!

I think the whole thing was totally blown out of proportion....The dark hair singer (can't remember her name) had a T-shirt on that said "FREE NATALIE"........I ended up buying one too!!;) ;)

And I was stating mine which is  @ someone boycotting someone for them stating her opinion. Funny, though, that you say "Last time I checked this was still a free country and a person can say what they want" when that is all Natalie was doing. Kinda ironic, don't you think.

Just saw on the news that she got booed again for another Bush comment. Although, the comment to me just sounded like a light hearted joke.

I'm all for Natalie giving her opinion...unfortunately she hasn't done that. All she's done is say stupid things that tick people off, she hasn't ever really given her opionion. Saying "We're ashamed........" is not an opinion, it's a statement. Then following it up with half***** apologies and when those didn't help she started with the "I feel threatened" stuff then the obnoxious "I don't care what people think" stuff. I'm still waiting for her to say something I can get her real opinion from. She has given me NOTHING to work with. Re the feud with TK, they are both acting like two year olds, but according to all accounts I have read she started it with calling him ignorant. Apparently he didn't take that very well. I'm a DC's fan but she's really been digging herself a nice big hole lately. SOT, I don't boycott generally, but why is it that so many people give the  to people who do? It's just another way of giving your opinion, especially when you don't have a handy microphone to use. Boycotting has been going on for a looooonnnnngggg time and  trivializes the opinions of those who choose to boycott. It's a time honored way of making your voice heard in America.

And soon we are off to the debate board....;)

I'm a huge fan of the Dixie Chicks, but I gotta say that her comments weren't so smart during wartime. I don't know what she expected, people do tend to rally around the President in times of war.......she is certainly entitled to her opinion though, just don't know how good her timing was.

In any case, I'm certainly not boycotting! They are coming here in concert, but we will be on vacation. :(

I'm glad to hear it was great. I am going to see them on Saturday night! I can't wait.

But it is covered by "freedom of speach."

Because  is another way of expressing an opinon, to someone else's actions. BTW (imo) boycotting is not expressing an opinion, it is making a statement.

edited for clairity
