Leaving for Disney Thursday and Have a Bad Cold - Tips?

A Zpack does help. Yes it won't cure the cold, but if you're like me a secondary infection almost always happens turning a little cold into a month long affair. So yes. Zpack does help with that.

I've gone to Disney with a cold. It started the day we left. It was the sinus congestion/drainage and the burn in the chest when you breathe. I was very nervous but hopeful that it would be mild enough to still tour. Luckily it was. I would take NyQuil at night to knock me out so I would at least get some sleep. Then I would take DayQuil in the morning and nasal spray into the park. It worked pretty well. Even though I was under the weather I had a great trip.

I'm a big fan of Zicam (the nasal swabs seem to really help).

a month before our last trip the flu swept our house - eventually I caught it but ignored it doe to my kiddos being sick. A little more than a week before we were to fly it had gotten so bad both of my ear drums ruptured and were oozing some quite nasty stuff, I lost most of my hearing (temporarily) etc. I was on so many meds I thought it would be an issue bringing them all through screening but it wasn't. I used ear planes for my ears, had a check up the day before we left to get cleared, and my ENT told me to do a huge shot of afrin before take off and landing. My hearing returned but now was amplified and metallic sounding which was difficult in a few noisy locations for the first day or two and my equilibrium was off for the first 2-3 days so I felt like I had "sea legs" at times and had to be careful doing any of the roller coasters, but ultimately was fine and it was a nice trip :) hoping not to have a repeat though!

There is a walk in clinic at the Walgreens right off property if needed, too.

I caught a pretty nasty cold, and symptoms started appearing this past Saturday, stuffy nose, sore throat, tired, etc. Today, Tuesday, is the fourth day. I got a Z-Pak on Sunday, but I still feel pretty bad.

Any tips on how to get over my cold faster? At least I got it now instead of in the middle of trip. I'm hoping most of the symptoms will be gone by Thursday.

Thanks!
So, were you better for your trip??
How did it go?

Summer colds are the worst! I swear by Dayquil and Nyquil severe cold/flu! Has to be the liquid though, the pills do not work near as well.

ColdEeze lozenges have done wonders for me. I know they say you're not suppose to take so many because of all the material in it, but it has been the most effective thing in cutting down my colds and I am prone to catch colds often. They really do cut your cold down by a matter of days.
