Leaving for Boardwalk next week -- any tips, tricks or secrets??

I heard someone say that Jellyrolls is a great place to spend a night ;)

The meatball subs at the pizza window are yummy, and the pastries at the bakery are incredibly delicious.

Try to spend a couple hours just relaxing and enjoying the Boardwalk. It's fun to people watch there, and you can catch the high fireworks from Illuminations as well.

There are nickelodeons in the hallway off to the right as you enter the lobby from the front doors. If you put a penny in them, you can actually watch an cartoon like they used to do back in the days! Personally, I thought this was really cool.

Also, the carousel in the lobby above the round sofa has a Hidden Mickey on one of the horses.

The paintings in the resort's public spaces are really interesting views of boardwalks of the past.

And, yes, I agree -- you must stop by the bakery for a treat!

Enjoy!

I'm guessing you're in the Inn so if you're in the Courtyard Area, it's a long walk to the lobby. Just walk down to the first floor, open the door (it's by a quiet pool) and walk along the garden suites until you reach the large stairs. Walk up them and go inside. You're in the Bellevue Lounge! Don't be afraid of the courtyard now, though. It's SO peaceful there. You can hear IllumiNations though and some can even see it. Hope you like the BoardWalk!

Oh, yes. You MUST have a pastry at the BoardWalk Bakery. They are so good, especially the Vanilla Frosting Donut. Mmmmm... Also, the nickelodeons are really fun to look at. I look at them every time I passed by them (one was free...)

Our favorites in the evening are the chocolate and vanilla pretzels at the bakery (really like a cookie) and the ice cream at seashore sweets.

I'm not sure if you are traveling with small children but there is a door that is sort of hidden from view just beyond The Flying Fish that will take you inside the BWI and to an elevator. This is a great way to bypass the long trek up the stairs. ;)

Love the Bellevue Lounge also!! :)

Walk to the Studios instead of taking the boat. The walk is nice and usually quicker than the boat. (Don't try this on the way back after a long park day!)

Ohhhhh! We just returned from our first stay here this week and how I wished I knew about that elevator after long, long days trekking around the parks! My aching feet and legs would have loved to bypass that stairway once or twice!

You will love this elegant, beautiful resort. Make sure you make time to wander the Boardwalk at night and catch the assorted street performers doing their thing. Lots of laughs!

Just got back. I didn't realize the first morning that they sold breakfast items at the Bellevue Lounge, they don't advertise it well, it was alot quicker and closer than the Boardwalk Bakery and basically the same things.

Just note that the selection of breakfast items at the Bellevue Lounge isn't as wide as the selection at the bakery, so make sure you make at least one trip down to the bakery.
