:sad1: :sad2: :sad2: We are having to move out of California to go to Illinois and I am going to miss my Disneyland SO MUCH! granted, we will be closer to Disneyworld but it's just not the same! I know, it's not like we're moving out of the Country but it's expensive to fly from there to here. We were just told a week ago that we have 3 months to pack up, sell our house and move! I am so depressed! the housing market out here is horrible so I don't know how I can possibly sell my house in 3 months! not to mention, we have season passes to DL and won't be able to use them!:sad2: :sad2: I'm just so frustrated! I guess I just needed to rant a bit so thank you for not getting too upset with me. I'll figure out what to do eventually.:thumbsup2 Helen

Oh I am so sorry! I swore to myself a long time ago that I will never move farther than I am right now from DL which is 4 hours. Unless of course it's 4 hours from WDW. I can feel for you, but I hope you have a great move and make lots of money on your house so you can make a trip back to use those AP's before they are expired!!

I feel your pain, Helen. I grew up about 90 miles away from WDW, and it was a big part of my life (birthdays, holidays, Grad Night, etc.). Now I live in Kansas. It was difficult to adjust to, and I still miss the ability to just wake up one morning and decide to visit Mickey. But, as you said, I'm now MUCH closer to DL and would never have went there if I hadn't moved!

You'll definately have go back to California to visit your friends, right? That way you can see your friends and go to Disneyland.

We had to do the same thing almost 2 years ago. We were 15 minutes from the parks and I took my daughter at least twice a week with friends and my SIL. Sometimes we were there 3 times a week just to have dinner as a family. I miss it soooooooo much. We are going back for the first time in May for my daughter's 4th birthday and to see family. I plan to spend all of our free time there at the parks.

Good luck, you will go through withdrawals, but you will be able to survive. It's hard, but you can do it, princess:

Good luck on your move.

By the way, that was my first post but I have been lurking here for a while! I really enjoy reading this board.

Helen~ I'm soo sorry  But I think you will grow to love WDW. You can always visit your first love but I think there is room in your heart for WDW also

Thank you all for your wonderful reassurance! I know we'll be alright when we get there, it's just the idea of leaving my home after 15 years. My friends luckilly will always BE my friends and we will definately be coming back a couple of times a year to see family. We went to DL 9 times last year and had a great time every time we went. Thank you again! love you all!:goodvibes :goodvibes Helen
