Do people leave their bags on buggies whilst they're on the rides? I have a small bag that I'll carry valuables around with me at all times, but we have a huuuuuuuuge bag full of stuff that we couldn't afford to lose either (babies bottles/milk, medicine etc.) but which is too heavy to carry around all the time. I happily left out buggy outside the rides last time but do you think I could safely leave a big bag outside too? We can put it under the buggy and hang a raincoat over it so it won't be obviously visible, but it would still be there to anyone who looks. I just wonder if people might see a bag and take it thinking that there might be valuables inside, even though there won't be. Hard to believe that anything nasty can happen inside Disney but it's something that's bothering me.... !

We often leave a bag on the back of ours, but it only ever contains things which we don't really care if they go missing.

It never has gone missing, but I still wouldn't trust leaving important things personally.

We have never left any bags on the buggy but have seen plently of others who do so :)

When we were about to go into HISTA we saw a pram and on the back was 2 huge bags of stuff bought in the shops AND a handbag, unzipped, with purse on full view. Nuts.

i was shocked to see how many people who left everything on unattended pushchairs

We left stuff on the buggies BUT it was only stuff like clothing, babies bag with essentials taken out just in case. Never went missing by the way.

Like others I have seen buggies with everything still on there, just common sense really. Fine to leave clothing etc on there and small bags but nothing valuable.

We left our baby bag on the buggy while we were on rides, even left the buggy and the bag for over an hour while wandering round Fantasyland however we never left any valuables on the buggy at all

my buggy was stolen last year, whilst we were on the Movie Set train, luckily nothing of value attached, mainly sweets and stuff !

Oh no Melody, how awful! You're the first person I've ever heard of that happen to... I'm rethinking the whole plan now! Perhaps I should leave a note on the bag saying "there are no valuables in here - just nappies" :)

well I looked around and our name tag was never to be seen, so somebody must have ripped it off.

LOL @ leaving the note, perhaps leave one in a nappy sack, that wont want it then :lmao:

im so sorry someone stole your buggy. thats awful. i am so paranoid that will happen to me i wasnt even gonna let my buggy outside, seeing as there is five of us i was gonna have someone watch it but that might not be practical lol

We've had this a few times :rolleyes1
Best was coming out of Magic carpets. I was up taking photographs from the watching area. Therefore I was back at the stroller park area before the others. Watched a family take our buggy. I waited until my family arrived and then was not very subtle in drawing attention to the situation  . Dad ran off quick smart. Leaving mum and child looking  DP stopped me taking a photo of them since I was going to post it up as DLP most wanted :lmao:

I've only ever heard of the DLP buggies "walking off" though - never one that somebody has brought with them from home.

I'm sorry to hear you had your buggy stolen, we have never had ours taken, although if they did it wouldn't bother us too much as it was a cheap one given to us just to chuck in the car

I think the buggy was a DLP one as Melody mentions ripping off the nametag. Luckily we've only ever had cause to use a hired buggy on one occasion, over the week I lost count of the number of times it went missing. :headache:

Hi all. We are going Mid DEC. So I am thinking of renting a buggy (even though my girls are 7 & 8 -- I still dont want blisters etc) and dressing us all in layers but I can imagine them getting hot & saying "Can I take off my ______ and put it on the buggy?" Is it safe to leave jackets hats jumpers etc on a buggy unattended while on rides etc.

Thanks
Lauren

Well having just got back I can confirm that our buggy and jumpers/coats etc. were fine. Well, we did think that our non-valuables bag had been stolen once, but it turns out that DP left it on one of the rides :rotfl: However, I would say that the CMs often move buggies around so don't panic if you can't immediately see yours when exiting a ride as it has probably just been moved somewhere else!

Hi does anyone know if you can hire buggies from dlp? if so how much and is there plenty to go around? thanks

The buggies are 7.50 euros per day. They're awful buggies though - really big and heavy/cumbersome to push, don't recline, nowhere to put bags etc. I'd definitely take my own instead of hiring.

This is one of my pet hates-Our Disney hired Buggy (for ds)was taken by someone else too-luckily we had only left bags on our own buggy(dd1)
It really annoys me-yes its a Disneyland buggy not someones own property but they have still paid 7.50 euros to rent it . It was more the inconvience-of having to go all the way back to get another one from the buggy rental. It really upset DS who is quite a sensitive sole he coudn't understand why someone took his buggy with his name on it.
If you have your receipt then they do replace it for you -it happened to us late in the day though and luckily there were 3 buggys left-at least the buggy thief had good timing!
In the majority of cases I think it is people who have just not bothered renting one and have all of a sudden really tired kids and just think -oh well its just a disney one -no one will mind.
We actually kept a disney carrier bag on ours from then on-just with the drinks in as I think in the majority of cases people aren't actually interested in stealing peoples property and so are more likely to go for a buggy without any personal possesions on it if you see what I mean.

Also on the other point raised -If I was a thief looking for some goods-would definately be buying myself a ticket to dlp! I think people think its Disneyland nothing bad with happen.
The amount of people buggies you see with handbags, rucksacks, camera bags , toy bags etc etc left lying is actually quite scary.
:guilty:
