Spare body, spare charger (I like to carry spares for the real show stoppers, but it is $$$).

A caddy to carry it all around... "oh caddy, this shot calls for a 70-200 please..." as he gets it out of the bag and mounts it on the camera for us! ;)

Aspirin or ibuprofin for your sore shoulder or back. :)

I didn't see a camera bag listed there. Definitely going to need that. Have a great time! I can't wait to see what photos you come back with.

Don't forget to pack your power cord for your laptop- or a spare battery!

Have a great trip!!! :)

hehehe actually my husband is "trained" to do just this..maybe i could rent him out for big $$ so i could actually get to wdw myself in the near future. would you trust your $2000+ lens to the man pictured below?

( really he just figures klutz that i am i am sure to drop something when i am changing a lens and is afraid it won't be the lens cap. after 30 yrs of marriage he knows me all to well) :lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

No monopod, starlight filter, clamping tripod, or mini tripod? And only one camera body?

Feh. What a lightweight. ;)

Have fun! I'm down to just 31 days now... Mentally I'm ready but I need just a little more photo loot and a little more experimentation beforehand.

Yes. Take me with you!

Well you could hide in his camera bag, but it appears to be quite full at the moment. :)

We are flying down on Sunday morning. We will keep an eye out for someone who has even more gear than we do! ;)

LOL!! You sound like me....... I took almost the same things on my trip to Chicago last month and it did make my shoulder hurt. It's great to have what you need evertime you reach for it though!!

EXCELLENT!!!! :yay: :yay: :thumbsup2

I should clarify a few things.

Yes, I have a pack. I'm carrying all the non-computer gear in a backpack. My wife is carrying the computer gear in another backpack.

This isn't what I'll be lugging around the park all day. I'll only take 2 or 3 lenses each day. The tripod will only make one or two trips into the park and will probably stay in a locker for most of those trips. The computer stuff will stay in the house.

For each day at the park, I'll wear the camera around my neck with a lens on it. I'll wear a geeky belt with a couple of utility pouches hanging from it. One pouch will hold a lens and the other will hold other odds and ends (or another lens).

I just checked and the camera gear (not including laptop, DVD burner, DVDs, card reader, and battery chargers) weighs in at around 25 pounds. I'll just keep reminding myself how much I need the exercise.

Mark, you're packing more stuff than I've got. :teeth:

I'm leaving tomorrow too.

That's a true photographer. My photo gear carry-on weighs about 22 pounds, my clothing and stuff weighs about 20. Priorities... ;)

I'm leaving the monopod, second body, second mid-range zoom, 1 gig CF, shoulder bag, close-up lens, ewa-marine bag, waterproof cases, and assorted other toys at home. I just wanted to bring the bare necessities so that I could get a couple of decent snapshots of the kids.

:rolleyes1 Look for the bare necessities, the simple bare necessities...

25 lbs of camera gear is probably more than the BARE necessities. :rotfl2:

It sounds like this time is year is favored by many photographers... Mark, Bob, and Olaf all going down there at once... I'm going to have my work cut out for me if I want to come back with a photo worth posting after those three start posting theirs!

We leave tomorrow too. I just said in another thread that I would post photos when I got back. I think I'm changing my mind - I'm not worthy!

However, your post allowed me to prove to my husband that I really am a cheap date (although he didn't competely buy that).

You might want to pack a pair of pants and a shirt too!! :)

hehe

Have a great time!
