We head out for our 2 days drive in 22 days. :drive: Well I still have no set touring plans. I am getting to the point of really being stressed out. I am so excited and anxious. :worried: I have general ideas of how to do things but feel that it may not go well. I just had knee surgery last week and feeling better everyday. But I walk slow and gimpy!!! First trip to DL and I want all of us to have a great time. Im emotional!!!

Have a great day all!!!

You will have a great time! Just take it slow and dont over do it on you knee! We'll be there the same time as you ;)

We'll be there then too. 6/2 is my son's birthday so looking forward to a magical day.

We've got the opposite drive... after DLR we'll be driving to Zion for a couple days and then head to Yellowstone to end our trip. (and fly home from Billings).

If it helps....

(I said this in other threads, so sorry if you've heard this!)

We went out to DLR VERY last minute, on a whim (we had some airline tickets we had to use or lose very quickly) for two days. Normally, I really like spending time and planning, but that was a luxury we didn't have this time. So we decided to just wing it and see how it went.

And we had an AMAZING time. We had arguably a better time than we did at our much more planned 9-day WDW trip last Fall. Now, I think WDW *requires* more planning because of it's size, and I'm not saying you should fly blind, either. We had a good idea of where things were, some of the big things we wanted to do, and the idea to focus on things that we couldn't see or ride at WDW (or were different). But going without a detailed plan meant that we were able to enjoy a lot more of the smaller details where I think a lot of the Disney magic really happens. We both said we thought our little two day trip to DLR was "more magical" than our WDW trip, as much as we loved both. It's different for everyone, but it's okay to not go "commando-style", too. I think it's hard to remember that when a lot of Disers prefer to go that route....which is also fine! But it won't ruin your vacation if you don't. Heck, if you have an ipad or smartphone, you have two days to plan on the way out there! :)

Thank you all. I know things will work out. And I can plan things on the way there too. Hope you all have great trips too.
