I am picking up negative vibes about EMH--that it does not present the same
type of advantage EE did. What's different about EMH?

So what's the verdict? Do I use EMH or not? Do I tour the parks that
are not having EMH days?

The only day we did EMH was Friday to go to AK.....we were staying at FW, and the transportation took forever......we only gained about 20 minutes ahead of other folks, and the park was mobbed!

Next time we will avoid EMH parks and go elsewhere.

Have a great trip:D

If you can get to MK right when EMH starts, then you can ride some of the popular attractions and leave after a couple of hours. In general, we preferred the day-after theory. Go to a park the day after they have had EMH. I think the problem now is the FTP and so many people staying on site. No matter what park you go to, go early. We made PS's for breakfast in the park before the park opens on non-EMH days. It's kind of like having your own personal EMH.

We very faithfully use EMH (used to use EE) every day while in the World. The only day we don't use it is for Epcot - we don't feel enough is open to justify getting there early. At MK we can get all of Fantasyland done during the first hour & then easily finish the rest of the park before lunch. Then we can take a break at the hotel & change parks for the afternoon. This works well at MGM, too. AK it's also great because I think the animals are more active early in the morning before it gets too hot.

This may be different when the parks are busier - we generally go in the off-seasons & love EMH. Hope this helps!

We used EMH in the MK 2 days and one day at AK during the last week of July. I would recommend getting up early and doing it. Get there before 8:00. We also went to MK at opening the day after a MK EMH day and it was more crowded IMHO than doing EMH. More people were up at 8:45 than 7:45! The parks got a little too crowded for us by lunchtime so we left after PS for lunch. The parks were crowded in the evening too so EMH worked well for us with small children. I think if you like to stay up late EMH may be hard with little ones. Can't burn the candle at both ends, it's vacation after all.

The only park we used EMH on our last trip in April was MK. It was well worth it. Many people stop to see the characters but we passed them. We were able to ride, Winnie the Pooh, Peter Pan(which later in the day had 70 minute waits), Buzz Lightyear 3 times, the racecars, teacups twice, and Snow White all with no wait. So to us it was well worth it. We then split in two groups,(John and I and then his sister and the two kids) they went and seen many of the characters, while we went to Frontierland. Then we met up at the "cabin" for lunch around 2. We then headed back to MK around 5 for a wonderful evening. The park seemed to have calmed down by then and this was Easter week.

EMH - MK, yes, other parks, no.

MK rides that are open include Buzz, Carrousel, Dumbo, AE, IASW, Pooh, Teacups, Peter Pan, Snow White, Space Mt, TTA, Indy Speedway, Main St vehicles.

AK rides that are open include Discovery Island trails, ITTBAB, Pangani Forest, Tree of Life, Safari. Kali doesn't open until 10.

Love Emh!!!

Go as early as you can. Mk is dreat on emh day!
Last trip we got to ride the pooh ride with pooh. It
was the best ride ever.

If you don't want to do EMH everyday for all the parks, at least do it for Magic Kingdom & Animal Kingdom. These two parks have tons of attractions open during that time.

On a personal note, we like taking advantage of EMH. Allows us to get a lot done within that hour!

We did it for MK and MGM. At the MK we were able to go on Peter Pan, Winnie the pooh, Dumbo, the Carousel, & It's a Small World. I didn't think it was any more crowded that day than any other day we were there. At MGM we did Tower, RnRC, shopped at Tatooine Traders and saw Muppets by 9:15.

For years on EE day I would head for any other park...Then we tried being there just before 8:00am...Go to FANTASYLAND do not stop time for that later....1st DUMBO, WINNIE THE POOH,PETERPANS FLIGHT,HAUNTED MANSION (JUST AROUND THE CORNER FROM PETERPANS IN LIBERTY SQUARE) BACK TO FANTASYLAND FOR IT'S A SMALL WORLD,SNOW WHITE,CAROUSAL ARIELS...Then if we got a fast pass WTP second ride. By then the park will either be packed or you'll know it's time to have lunch and enjoy the rest of the day at MK.
