leave from DTD?

I was wondering if any of you have done this before...

We wanted to head to DTD on our last day to finish some shopping. Our flight does not leave MCO until 6:30pm. I was wondering if we could check our luggage for ME at the resort before we went, and then either arrange for an ME bus to pick us up at DTD or, more preferrably, take a cab from DTD to MCO so that we don't have to waste time going back to the resort to be picked up. To us, it's worth the extra cab fare.

If you are flying on a participating airline, you can check your luggage through at the Remote Check In desk. You CANNOT 'arrange' for a DME bus to pick you up at Downtown Disney (it's not a Disney Resort). You CAN most assuredly take a cab from there to the airport.
If you're not flying on a participating airline, this is moot. You must collect your own luggage from Bell Services and transport it to the airport yourself.
