Leave Female Doctors for Female Patients?

I voted Never. Even though I prefer female doctors, people should have a choice. There are enough female doctors to take handle all the women who feel like me, so no male doctors will be going broke anytime soon. lol

I don't even understand the question. Are you asking if male patients should avoid female doctors and leave them for female patients?

Most of the doctors in the Family Practice I use are women. It's probably better to ask, in that case, if we should leave the male doctors for the males? At my kid's pediatrician office, all but one of the practice are women. So, same question there.

I think your question is skewed, probably toward your experiences.

I'm not clear on the question, but assuming you mean: "should men avoid making appointments with female doctors to leave them available for female patients?" That would never occur to me.

I think that everyone should be able to go to whomever they choose.
not everyone ( male or female) prefers same sex physicians.
I do, but my SIL for example prefers a male.

I choose my doctors because they are good at what they do, not because of their gender. Being on my insurance helps a little, too.

I want whoever is good to care for me. I don't care if they are a hermaphrodite as long as they know their medicine. Sex does not denote intelligence.

I can not imagine why anyone should be denied the doctor their choice based on gender. I definately would not want to live in a society where I would be banned from having a male doctor examine me... which is very much what ideas like this can lead to .

my DD and I prefer women Drs for most things. Also, my DH has found through the years that he gets far better care from women Drs.

I have a female primary care (who is also DH's primary care) but my favorite ob/gyn (part of a group) is male. I never thought I'd want a male dr., but I love him!

I voted never! I only use female doctors because that is who I feel comfortable with, but others can choose whomever they want. It doesn't make any difference to me if a male wants a female doctor too.
