Does anyone know if it is at all possible to request the removal a LAL photo?

I did one in 2000 with a guy I was dating but I married someone else. When we go in May and possibly do this, I would feel weird having one with ex-bf and one with husband and daughter up!

Thanks!

You can't possibly be that insecure and want to deny your past like that....can you?
They put those pictures up in blocks. They aren't individual pictures. I wouldn't think you would be able to have it removed. Just get one with your family and forget about the old one if you are that bothered by it.

Of course! :rotfl:
It is not that I am insecure, per se, but that I would just feel easier about doing it again with my family and not sharing it with some dude who means nothing now.
I threw away pictures of old bfs when I got married, why would I want to leave one up at Epcot? Knowing my luck, they would end up placed side-by-side!

Let this be a lesson to those who follow!

OT-DizzKneeGeek, I have to say, I have enjoyed your pictures and reading many of your posts! :thumbsup2

This is something that PrincessFontaine and I can not understand. We have pictures of both of us with ex's in our house to this day. We both know that we had a life prior to getting married and we refuse to forget the past.

Thank you very much. I enjoy the fact that there are people who actually like reading my posts and looking at our pictures. BTW....there will be an update on PF and her pregnancy soon.

It could not possibly be a 'serious' problem.
As that it is merely a frozen moment in time.

As far as you know, there are literally THOUSANDS of photographs of you two together... in the backgorund of shots taken at WDW by other guests when you were there.

You WERE with that person, by your own choice, at that time.

You changed your mind... but the history did not change.
Neither did the images captured back then.

Anyone who is strong enough to stand by you and your family will not be "threated" by a photo of the past.

But if I am able to change a moment that I know about, I want to exercise that choice. :)
No need to wax poetic or philosophical but I appreciate yout thoughtful answers! ;)

You can deny what you can't forget. I just don't need tactile/visual reminders and Husband feels the same way. :)

Congrats on the little one and here's for an uneventful (safe) pregnancy and happy delivery!! :goodvibes

There is a sliding scale of "serious problems" that we encounter in life.

My point is that maybe you could slide this one a bit farther toward the "lessor" end of the scale.

We will just have to agree that we have different perspectives. I don't expect you to understand or appreciate my comfort zone and while yes, this is small change in the grand scheme of life and the fate of nations do not hang in the balance and of course we will have a great vacation regardless of this photo's existence, it is simply my preference to have it removed if at all possible. I thought the wise folks here at the disboards could help me out with a yes or no answer. That's all. :)

The ones in Epoct Im not sure about but if it was at MK you'd probably have a better chance of getting it removed and updated.
I would want it changed also if it was me and with an ex just because I spent the money on it.

I don't have an answer for you, but I would suggest just giving Disney a call directly if you can't get an answer here. There may not be much they can do, but you never know until you try. I totally understand where you are coming from and would feel the same way if it were me. I don't think that wanting it removed is "denying the past" but simply trying to choose to only celebrate the future. I'm sorry that your simple question hasn't been answered but that your reasons for wanting to do this are being debated. Best of luck with getting this resolved to your satisfaction!:goodvibes

I don't even know what/where these pictures are - have never heard of them. Can someone explain what this Legacy thing is?

I'm celebrating my 30th anniversary next week, and while we don't have pictures "up" of old boy/girlfriends, they are certainly still in my albums, and in his! And always will be! How else can we say "you sure dodged a bullet there" :lmao:

Lorimc, I for one totally understand why you would want to get rid of it, and I'm sure you're not the first one to ask this question. Good luck! :thumbsup2

:rotfl: that's funny!

I understand the poster's feelings. I'd probably want rid of it too or at least try my best to forget it's there.

I don't blame you in the least, I'm curious about this as well..does anyone know how she could find out ? It's just like whenever you have been on vacation with someone else before you get married. Do you want to sit around with your dh and look at pictures..I think not ! It does kind of give you a creepy feeling...and never say never stranger things have happened, I could see you having this done and years later your kids saying " hey mom is this you too" looking at the other one, ten places down :rotfl2: . I don't know about you but I'm not the same person I was whenever I was dating, I dated some real losers, and if I was to pass one on the street I would run like a #$ !:rolleyes1
